1950s Hong Kong Inspired Photography Series by Fan Ho 何藩

Self-taught, renowned Asian photographer, Fan Ho’s photography series, “Hong Kong Memoirs,” introduces a series of monochromatic images of the urban landscape. Geometric and surreal in nature, Ho’s images read as a transient memory lost in space. It’s difficult to detect, which parts of his images are real or overlapped. To create the dream-like, hazy effect, Ho layered and scanned various negatives. He also used a little bit of Photoshop editing for the desired result.
