So this is mostly my own personal go to list of fics for whenever I need a dose of happy to get by, so the criteria is pretty much just fics that make me happy. Threshold Consciousness by magicasen. (I have this fic saved with a note that says “Magic makes them cuddle”. It makes me want to have a nap)
Dutch Courage by ballpoint. (Ultimates! So this is more on the bittersweet end, but it still has that softness, Ugh ultimate, all the pain. This one has that cozy feeling but a sort of bitter tangy end note)
Things you never knew by nightwalker. (Oh man Tony is such a big sap and the sweetest and Steve has an internal monologue about how much he adores Tony and how soft and happy he looks. Everything is perfect)
It Might Almost Be Worth It by nightwalker. (This is just a great take on the whole sex pollen trope, with asexual Steve and not all that much sex really)
Repairing by nightwalker. (I have a weakness for stories that mention Tony’s alcoholism and how protective Steve gets of Tony. Hits right in the spot)
Meet Your Heroes by Wordsplat. (AHh Identity porn with established relationship! Tony getting kidnapped and cap being all handsy and Tony rejecting him because he already has a great boyfrined thankyouverymuch. I can re-read it over and over)
Captain America, Undone by laireshi. (My note for this says “When you’re sad read this, it’s what I picture getting punched by the sun in the heart must feel like, but nicer”)
But I Still Feel You by penversuswords. (Tony blurts out a confession and Steve doesn’t know how to feel about it. So Tony is all heartbroken and Steve misses his best friend and nothing is right. Untill things are. Also Rumiko is perfect here)
The Naked Truth by magicasen. (They’re in Savage land. Steve’s pov is great, just love it, and just picturing him running carrying Tony around naked and escaping a dino? The best thing to happen ever)
Ain’t No Drinking Man by archwrites. (Steve’s de-serumed and angry and snappy. He gets drunk. There’s some misunderstandings. It ends in a happy time for everyone)
I’ll Give You Gifts Until You Know My Name by Amuly. (Identitty porn! Tony is cheeky and uses his double identity to give Steve all the gifts. Has me smiling every time I read it)
They Call Me Dad by fandomfrolics. (I looove team shenanigans. And this has all the rom-com goodness)
Dreaming Together by often_adamanta. (I like kids. I also know I won’t be having any. It’s nice to see a story that doesn’t equate happily ever after with kids. Also I relate to Tony kind of freaking out a bit)
Trophies for the Wall by Amuly. (Set in a time close to when Cap meets Mr. Stark. With some flirting and cute bantering. Also bossy Steve, eager Tony and some hot action in Howard’s trophy room)
Treasure, Explosions and Romanceby runningondreams . (For when you’re down, nothing better than noir!adventurer Tony with Steve having a huge crush on him and all the explosions. And flirting of course, all the flirting)
Ten Romantic Valentine’s Day Ideas for Busy People by BlossomintheMist. (In my book everyone should read every single thing written by BlossomintheMist. It’s like the best hug or feeling cozy in a warm bath, but most of the times pornier, and better for it. She gives them this gentle intimacy, and can make you feel better in sencods. I fear the day the fics go away so like a dragon I have them saved up in my computer. And mail. And kindle. And pendrive. You never know)
Vanilla Human Problems by manic_intent. (Tony isn’t Iron man but works as a consultant for the avengers and still gets kidnapped. I don’t know what is about this story but every time it gives me fuzzy feelings. Just a sweet and happy thing to read)

Heart Burn by nightwalker (Ahh. They just write the sweetest fics, with all the pining. And there’s a dragon in this one!)
Variations in Modern Dance by Pookaseraph. (Asexual Steve makes me happy. Asexual Tony makes me happy too. Really, this one only has ace Steve but Tony is so sweet with him. This feels like hugging your dog after not seeing him for a week, good and happy all around)
The Tower of Yesterday by manic_intent. (Noir!Tony is the WW2 hero that froze over and Steve the XXI century man that introduces him to the future. Noir!Tony is such a great Tony and the idea for this fic is perfect and done perfectly by the writer. I have to read it at least once every 6 months)
99 problems (and the dice ain’t one) by kellifer_fic. (It has D&D and a bit of a reclusive Tony that doesn’t do great with change and feelings. It has a light feeling and had me smiling all along)
The More Things Change by cookinguptales. (Tony helps Steve seduce the persone he likes. Also Tony happens to be the person that Steve likes, Things work out well for everyone. It has a fluttery feeling to it)
Extinction by valtyr. (Everything valtyr writes is amazing, but this has a special place in my heart. There’s a scene with stars that is just incredible. And yeah, it’s a Night at the Museum Au)
New Traditions by nightwalker. (I kind of love stories that mention Tony’s alcoholism, because it’s something that he struggles with and hurts and he tries to be better, to be a hero despite his flaws, or maybe because of them. Here Toy pushes himself, Steve tries to help, and there’s a horse with too many legs. Utterly fantastic and like warm soup for your soul.)
Get Some Now by sineala. (Choosing a single fic by sineala is like choosing a single chocolate: I don’t want to and I’d rather eat the whole box in one sitting. So go read them all and read some of her Eagle fics while you’re there too. Having said that, when I think of happy fics this is the one that pops up. The picture of Tony being sorrounded by kitties is just too much, it makes me so very happy)

The Lavender Tears series is one of my favorites. It’s super heavy so TW for child abuse/neglect, bullying, character death, depression and suicidal thoughts. Shinsou nearly dies but then gets adopted and deals with the trauma afterwards, with his new dads and his new brothers Bakugou and Todoroki
This is a Class 1-A ghost au that’s based off of a tiktok series! TW: Character death. All Might goes around killing/sending various students to their deaths and they come back as ghosts to haunt his ass
In an effort to get Bakugou and Midoriya to get along, Aizawa takes them on patrol, but a villain attack makes everything go sideways in nearly every possible way
Teenage Midoriya gets transported to the future where he finds out that the Number 1 Pro Hero Deku is dead. Todoroki and the others get to tell him one last goodbye before he gets transported back
Aizawa, Yagi, and Mic take 1-A on a week long trip for winter survival training but a villain attack makes everything a bit more complicated. Aizawa saves Izuku from hypothermia and some other things
Midoriya went missing when he was fourteen years old, and it doesn’t get investigated until fifteen years later by one Detective Tsukauchi. It also has a sequel and both are equally amazing
Izuku was the soul survivor of Class 2-A, and because he was able to streamline his training, he kind of learned everything. So to pass the time until he can get his license, he becomes Aizawa’s TA
Pro!Deku gets pulled into a different world by All for One and his student, Shigaraki Izuku during the Kamino incident. Also Tenko gets adopted by All Might and Gran Torino, and is a part of class 1-A.
Izuku is the brother of Hawks and Mirko and has a mix of their quirks. He’s also raised by the hero commission and gets the opportunity to go to UA. Lots of Dadzawa, and lots of lots of fluff 11/10
Instead of the usual Izuku gets adopted by Erasermic, it’s Todoroki that gets adopted! Because Endeavour is a piece of shit! I love it so much and it’s a wonderful Todoroki character study
Aizawa and the last remaining survivors of Class 1-A get hit by a quirk and they get transported from the apocalypse to right before the USJ incident. Slow updates and if it weren’t for the fact that AO3 has a subscription feature for fics I’d be stalking this fic like nobody’s business
TW: Minor character death Izuku goes home and finds Inko dead, and this is the aftermath of that. Guys, I literally am just a ball of tears with every update. It’s so fucking good. Top 3 for me

Erasermic au where Aizawa is a history teacher and Yamada is is a radio star who just moved in next door. It also deals a lot with Aizawa’s trauma as he still gets over Oboro’s death
Immortal!Bakugou bkdk au where Izuku keeps getting reborn and they keep finding each other. It’s wonderful and sad and I cried and also TW: major character death multiple times 12/10 please read

This is a Harry Potter/Danny Phantom crossover set in Harry’s fifth year. Trelawny summons Danny to spite Umbridge and he’s welcomed with lukewarm arms to Hogwarts!

Billy keeps sneaking in Steve’s window as the months go on: a story in ten parts.
Post season 3 fix it, lots of hurt/comfort, and billy bringing steve fast food after his shifts. I go back to read this one a lot, I just love the dynamic this author has created and the characterization. Just an all around good fic.
Billy Hargrove’s got this job. He throws a leaning stack of pizza boxes into the back of the Camero and drives them to the ungrateful and poor-tipping residents of Hawkins. He resents it in a million different ways for so many different reasons, but if it’s good for nothing else, it allows him to see Steve Harrington a few times a week, which is just about the only damn thing he’s living for nowadays. Usually, it’s a wordless exchange of Steve’s usual order. However, one night, Billy gets this terrible idea and pulls over on the side of the road. From that night on, Hawkins’ has one less terrible-tipper and Billy Hargrove says much more to Steve Harrington than nothing at all.

He kept half expecting a call—”Steve, I’m in trouble,” she’d say. “I need you to bail me out, we—” his imagination failed at anything weird enough, and he sighed, breathing in the stench of old cigarettes and cologne.
The seat creaked again as he rolled his head to look at Billy Hargrove. “The hell do you and Tommy even do out here for hours?”

Steve won’t breathe a word of this to Billy, will keep it cool and casual, but he started working on the mixtape in November. Not that it’ll seem cool or casual at all once Billy actually listens to it.
