Imagine Murdoc, bored out of his mind while the rest of the band is out running errands, so he starts playing around with metal versions of some of his favorite songs. As a private joke, he tries to combine metal and folk music, and ends up laughing his butt off half way through some of the songs. He never tells his band mates, because, well, he’s not too keen on being laughed at.
Then one day, he hears his band mates leave and runs to the studio to start playing his most recent project. He never notices Noodle watching from the doorway, and nearly jumps out of his skin when she starts clapping in awe at his Metal version of The Wellerman
Of course she’s so impressed she makes him play it for the others when they get back, and Murdoc can’t bring himself to say no.
Quick Gorillaz Headcanon - Disney Music
Noodle loves Disney movies, and forces everyone to watch them with her.
No one knows how it started, but one day, Murdoc started randomly playing Disney songs in the middle of practice as a joke.
It got a few laughs and helped make things a little more fun for Noodle. Sometimes he would do it just to annoy her because that’s what good dads do.
He gained 100 Respect Point from Noodle when he burst into her bedroom and started playing (and singing) his rock version of Mulan’s “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You”
He was pretty smug at first when he saw the way Noodle’s eyes had lit up and how she couldn’t stop saying how cool he was.
He later realized that he’d shot himself in the foot when she asked him to make a rock version of her other favorite Disney songs!
Murdoc really didnt want to, but he would just as soon take a vow of celibacy as make Noodle cry, so he begged convinced Russel and 2D to help him.
Noodle ended up with the only ‘Gorillaz version’ of her favorite Disney songs in the whole world.
Every time a new Disney movie came out, more songs would be added to her collection!

Imagine the band having a celebratory drink in a pub, and some drunk tries to start singing a fake sea shanty, so of course Drunk Murdoc , grumbling about the other man’s shoddy singing, suddenly stands up and starts belting out “Roll The Old Chariot”, getting the entire pub to join in. He follows it up with “Roll Northumbria”, just to show off. And then gets completely hammered after the impressed patrons in the pub each buy him a round. As it turns out, his gruff voice is perfect for sea shanties!

What if Noodle and her mom weren’t the only things The Deal erased from Murdoc’s memory?
What if Murdoc also already knew Stuart and Russel, and they would regularly hang out?
What if they were already working on forming a band in the late 80’s, when Murdoc met Noodle’s mom?
What if they all moved into Noodle’s mom’s place so they could get the band up and running?
What if Russel and Stuart were good uncles and helped take care of baby Noodle?
What if Stuart was visiting his parents, and Russel was out looking for a drum set when Murdoc made The Deal? Stuart just stayed with his parents, and Russel went back home. Neither one of them remembered anything about the others.
