I have this feeling that Season 4 Episodes 17 and 18 (Nekoma’s backstory) are there to remind us that they want to win the Nationals too; they also trained hard, they played with all that they have and they had their struggles, to get to where they are right now.

This is to remind us that it’s not only about Karasuno. Other teams had their sacrifices too. They all deserve to win, but in the end, there could only be one victor.
