Whoops apparently I turned on the Instagram option where it posts on tumblr and I found it weird because it doesn’t even add the tags that I did on Instagram so I find it pretty useless!

She’s into punk unfortunately for her younger brother but she’s supports his band as much as she can ! she’s a heavy smoker because she’s extremely stressed 24/7, I’m hoping she’ll find a better way to relieve her stress and quit !
FP: Has writing more about music changed the way you read reviews for White Lung?
MW: Yeah. I don’t think it would be possible for it to not affect the way that I read my own reviews. I think that it has given me a good edge because I understand both sides. One of the things that bothers me most about critics is that they don’t actually understand what it’s like to make a piece of art and put it out into the world.

After fostering the early underground punk/ new wave NY scene of the late-’70s, hardcore punk became CBGB’s mainstay in the ‘80s and Sunday was instituted as matinée day, when HC bands played from afternoon until evening. In 1990, violence inside and outside of the venue prompted Kristal to suspend hardcore bookings.

“I was in the pit for two bands - Flipper & DOA., shot 3 rolls of color slide film at 400 ASA. A slightly wide-angle, 30mm, lens, these guys fell on top of me. I had my brand new Contax, I was hunched over, knees bent to keep a low center of gravity, protecting my camera by holding it with both hands in my stomach, I had guys going over me and slamming me into other guys. It took all my mosh expertise. It was very much fun.”
When you get to eight years, you start to feel a bit like a broken record. The deal is the deal that’s been the deal. The world increasingly sucks, music helps make it better. NOT DEAD YET 2018 will be taking place OCTOBER 11TH to 14TH! Gigs, lots of them, across venues in downtown Toronto. Good music, guided by DIY spirit. No bullshit.
This year, SHEER MAG return to NDY for the first time in 4 years after conquering the world, bringing with them Dublin’s current reigning champs of Power-Pop, THE NUMBER ONES. Twisted hardcore maniacs ANGEL DUST come through, as the IMPALERS return to Toronto, with their Scandinavia-by-way-of-Texas charge. Not to mention a visit from Denton, Texas’ masters of melody RADIOACTIVITY and the return of SWEARIN’, celebrating a new LP. And we’re lucky enough to get a visit from the brains behind Bogota’s infamous Casa Rattrap, MURO, Northern Sweden D-beat ragers PARANOID, and Nola’s synth punk killers SPECIAL INTEREST among many, many more.
The city is still going to shit, and we’ve still gotta do something to oppose the drain. We’ve lost two more venues to “Music City” this year yet we press on. R.I.P. D-Beatstro & Double Double Land. Loads more bands, info on art shows, tickets and more to follow in the coming weeks.
