Welcome to Every Time We Touch, an event that celebrates the hundreds of possible ways Sam and Dean Winchester could get together! In this event, we’ll try to create a first-time Wincest fic or artwork for as many episodes of Supernatural as we can. Episode sign-ups open today (January 24, 2021, Dean’s birthday), and the deadline for your works is May 2 (Sam’s birthday).
This event works like a prompt fest and takes place on AO3. The “prompts” are the 327 episodes of Supernatural. You sign up by claiming one or several prompts (episodes), which you commit to filling by claiming them. Leave a comment on the episode you want on this spreadsheet; make sure you include your AO3 username so we can verify that the fill matches the sign-up. Completed works should be posted in the AO3 collection for this event. You are welcome to link and share elsewhere as well, of course. The episode you created for should be identified in the tags or notes of your work.
Fic should be a minimum of 500 words, but beyond that it can be as long as you like. Art should be at minimum a finished sketch and should have a visible connection to the episode you chose.
FAQ: What kind of first time? Your work can be about a first kiss, first date, or first time having sex—whatever works for you, as long as it’s some version of Sam and Dean getting together romantically and/or sexually.
Are any topics banned? Nope—just make sure to tag and warn appropriately.
How closely should the work connect to the episode? Can it be AU? The work should take place during or after the episode. Some canon divergence is perfectly fine within those boundaries.
What about episodes where Sam and Dean are separated? You can still sign up for those! Just be creative. For example, you could write about Sam or Dean fantasizing about the other for the first time.
Are threesomes allowed? Sure, as long as the focus is on Sam and Dean getting together.
Can I submit something that I already created or posted prior to this event? No, all works should be created specifically for this event.
Can I claim multiple episodes? Can a single episode receive multiple works? You can select up to five episodes to create for. A single episode can receive up to two works.

Summary: in one of the most heartbreaking moments of Dean’s life, he and Team Free Will say their goodbyes. (Dean’s POV)
She’s so beautiful. The way the light shines on her face makes me have to catch my breath every time. I look at her and it’s like staring into the sun, though I can never look away.
She does this thing when she’s thinking, she’ll just nibble on her lip without even noticing she’s doing it. Her skin smells like gentle lavender like the flowers just bloom under her skin. And her eyes–oh, those eyes take me somewhere far away with every glance.
On the horizon, I can see the sun beginning to set. The water is practically still, though the breeze still blows softly through her hair. She’s a force of nature all on her own.
As I study her with tears in my eyes, I watch the final colors left in the sky make her skin glow. Never have I longed for someone the way I do her, and I know that I never will again.
I’m considering creating a website that is solely devoted to my SPN series rewrite “Wayward Hearts”. I think it might be fun to have it available almost as a book, to post art I’ve made, fan art I’ve gotten (which still blows my mind), share my writing process, and make it an all around experience for those who want to dive back into the Supernatural world.

“Wayward Hearts”
Summary: As Sam and Dean begin the search for their father, a chance encounter with another hunter will change the roads ahead. Riley Munroe is a hunter, raised by her father after her mother tragically died when she was only six months old. Brought together by loss, grief, and the family business, Sam, Dean, and Riley join forces. They’ll find that their stories are intertwined and lean on each other as they search for answers and to avenge those they’ve lost. They’ll face evil, darkness, and hell itself…as a family.
Getting back to the family business over the next couple weeks. With all the fandom drama going on and no more SPN to feed our hunger for more…I hope this series rewrite helps fill the void.

But, I’m having surgery next week and will be on bedrest for 2-3 weeks. So…I’m thinking that might be a good time to get back into writing the SPN series rewrite “Wayward Hearts”.
I think about this series all the time and I’m constantly missing being a part of the story of Sam, Dean, and Riley. My life has been so chaotic (in mostly good ways) that I just haven’t had the time or energy to work on it. But, with no work, the kiddo out of town, and time off school…I think it’s as good a time as any to bring back our heroes. We still have at least a season and a half to go!
I will have more information for you over the coming two weeks. I’m eager to get back into this rewrite and to get back on the road with you all.

Everyone…after having the prequel information mulling around in my head since last night…I’m conflicted as fuck.
Having an origin story of John and Mary makes no sense to me. We already know enough through the flashbacks we’ve had. Also, how would we make this work with John not being a hunter or even know about the supernatural until after Mary’s death? This sounds like they’re opening the door for too many plot holes and I don’t like it. And I mean, let’s be honest–John and Mary were two of the least liked characters throughout the entire series.
I wanted more SPN so badly and having Jensen take the reigns is awesome, and having him narrate is beautiful…but it doesn’t feel right. Maybe if it was about the traumatic childhood they had and about the boys growing up learning to be hunters while taking care of each other…I might feel different. But this just doesn’t feel like the right way to go with it.
Not to mention the whole fiasco with Jared not even knowing about the show until it was announced on Twitter. I’m giving Jensen the benefit of the doubt and assuming there was an NDA or something until the release. Jared said they’ve spoken and that things are okay now, but I know he’s hurting. None of this feels right and I’m incredibly torn about how I’m supposed to feel.
I dont know how many of you are in the same boat I am with all of this…but I’m not as excited about this as I would like to be–that’s for damn sure.
Side bar: this fandom can be so damn toxic. Don’t go after either of the guys for their parts in this. They’re only human and they’re getting insane levels of harassment and shame.
