It’s been a while since I’ve drawn Herra and Raa! It’s warm enough now that they’re finally out and fooling around!

I’ve been busy with adoptables so I haven’t had much time to draw them but gosh I missed it and I have a whole bunch of new dinos to introduce as well

If you don’t have feathers you gotta improvise and borrow some
Herrerasaurus.
I really disliked my previous rendition of this dinosaur, so I drew a slightly different version, with the teeth covered.

I liked playing JP:TG even if the gameplay was nothing too special. The lore and new dinosaurs were neat though it sometimes conflicted with the canon.
The new dinos in particular were really cool in concept but sometimes a bit lacking in concept. Like I don’t like the squiggly mouth on the Tylosaurus and the “dragon belly” on the Herrerasaurus, but that’s just me.

A Herrerasaurus ischigualastensistaking a little drink at a watering hole as dawn breaks over the Late Triassic landscape. He’s fast, agile, armed, energized and ready to pave the way for some rightful dinosaurian domination…
The colorations for the animal here was inspired on that for the one from TellTale’s Jurassic Park game and the overall design was based on some of Richard Kuulme aka HellraptorStudios’ work. I just love the mixtures of dead brown, light oranges and blood reds. It really makes the animal look vital, graceful and fierce.Herrerasaurusseriously deserves better recognition in pop culture.
