The Demolition - 24″ x 30″

The removal of our rich history and the displacement of the lower class is an issue facing most large cities today. Portland is one of those cities being greatly affected by gentrification currently, as seen by the most recent demolition of the Ancient Order of United Workmen Temple at SW 2nd Ave and Taylor St, directly in downtown Portland. The Architect, Justus F. Krumbein, built this in 1892. Most of his life’s work has been destroyed.
