My amazing girlfriend @martymcdie88mph and my best friend (who is wisely not a part of this hellsite) crushed it this year by getting me alllll the coolest Dave merch! I think it’s hilarious that the two people I love most in the world bought me the exact same thing from redbubble, one as a mask and the other as a shirt. Digging the matching set. I’m beyond fortunate. For serious
I remember the day that you messaged me and said “hey did you get me this item?” And you went on to describe it as an item that was “crying Dave”, and I was like “yes I did get you that item with crying Dave!” I was really embarrassed because you had gotten me the most thoughtful present in the world and my phone is so garbage I haven’t been able to take proper pictures of it or posted here but I will sooner rather than later. But I was so upset that you hadvgotten me something so thoughtful and I felt like what I had gotten you in that moment, it didn’t feel like it was thoughtless, (cause it wasn’t, I got it because it was an image you had gotten on the flower vase for me the first time you got me flowers before we even met) it just felt like it wasn’t enough if that makes any sense. I felt cheap, I know and wanted you to know that you deserved more, I just didn’t have the funds.
But I remember telling you yes that’s what I got you and you burst into laughter because your BFF had gotten you the same exact thing but in a different format and that you loved both of those gifts so much and you are so grateful even for the small thing I was able to give you… I laughed and I cried in that moment I was just so happy because I knew that I had done something to make you happy and honestly it’s such an honor to me to be able to make you that happy and joyful and full of laughter and love. The way that you talked about how much crying Dave means so much to you. And he means so much to me too! But just the way that you made me feel about my present to you and you didn’t make me feel small or anything you made me feel like I did a good thing you lifted me up while I lifted you up and I was so grateful and happy thought I was able to get you the gift that I got you and that me and you and your BFF we were all sort of as the kids say vibing on the same level!! I love it so much and I’m so thrilled that you like our presents especially as a matching set!! Like this was not planned!! And it’s just so funny and so touching with your reaction I just am so floored by your kindness and I am so glad that you love the silly little thing I got you.

Needless to say @martymcdie88mph loved the custom Dave Hot Rod Funko Pop made by the incredibly talented @jadisart. I cannot say enough good things about this artist. They are a joy to work with and really went above and beyond to do every one of my specifications, making this an amazingly awesome gift for our first meeting.

Probably my #1 favourite car at SEMA 2016. I have loved C2 Corvette Gran Sports since i saw a pic of one in a book about the history of the Corvette when i was 11. This thing had me drooling!
