Plot (spoiler free)
17-year-old Stella Grant likes to be in control, although she isn’t in control of her lungs. She has Cystic Fibrosis and has been going to St Graces Hospital her whole life and is at the hospital for a ‘tune up’. Will Newman also wants to be in control, control of his life. Will has Cystic Fibrosis as well as B Cepacia, which makes there no possibility for a lung transplant, like Stella. Will has moved to St Graces for the new drug trial for his B Cepacia. When they meet, they can’t seem to get enough of each other, but Will is exactly what Stella needs right now. If he gets anywhere near her she can kiss her lung transplant dreams goodbye. The only way to stay alive is to stay away. Six feet apart at all times, that’s the rules. But soon six feet doesn’t feel like safety, it feels like punishment! Would it be so bad to steal back a little bit of space their lungs have taken from them. ONE FOOT! Five feet apart. Would it really kill they if it stops their hearts from breaking too…
My Opinion
I give this book 100% credit for my love of books!!! This book exceeded my expectations (and I thought it was going to be good) It’s impossible to sum up how I feel for this book. But here is my attempt… Five Feet Apart is my No.1 and Fave Book EVERRRR!!!! I absolutely love this book (and I properly always will) It is a breathtakingandbeautiful book which deals with powerful and important messages and concepts such as death and grief. Rachael Lippincott, mind-blowing writing!!!! I love how it is written in both characters perspectives and views and really enhancedthe whole feeling of the book. I have learnt so much from Stella and Will, not just facts, but also life lessons and morals to have, in life. I never (ever) cry when reading books, and I cried several times, not just because it was sad but because it was BEAUTIFUL. She describes each scene very precisely and vividly. This book is unforgettable!!

You will love this book if… you are a human in general… or if you are looking for a fluffy, cute, heart-throbbing forbidden love story. If you are in a reading slump or you find reading a chore, I believe this book will make you enjoy reading as much as I do!
