Lamb: Film Review
I must confess that I watched Valdimar Jóhannsson’s Lamb (Dýrið) whilst having a goblet or two of Absinthe, but had I viewed it tea-total, I don’t think it would have been any less strange!! I don’t want to give away too much of the film but the basic premise is that a farming couple, Maria and Ingvar (played by Noomi Rapace and Hilmir Snær Guðnason) living on a remote sheep-holding in Iceland…
Yesterday afternoon I had to take my daughter to a meeting regarding an upcoming science trip to freakin’ ICELAND
The emeting was held at the other high school in town, and I had never met the teacher before. She is lovely, though, and did a good job holding the meeting (got the info across and didn’t waste any time). But remember, Eurovision is not about politics. Nope. Not at all.
The next time they tell you Americans are “happy” with their employer provided health insurance remember that that “happiness” is fueled by willful ignorance of what the alternatives are really like and fear of losing what little crappy health care they currently have.
Honestly, nevermind the low price, if seeing doctors was this logistically easy I’d have way better health. With adhd/anxiety/depression, seeing doctors is usually just too complicated and takes too much energy to deal with.
