The words are aimed down a set of glistening silver tines at her, fork brandished over the breakfast plate like a saber. A pair of deep blue eyes pierce her from the other end, and she pauses a moment to sip at her tea, collecting her thoughts before replying calmly. “What price what, Prince Silvio?”
“Your price. How much to buy you.”
She nearly aspirates her swallow as it abruptly reverses course, tannin burning her nose as she chokes it back down and clears her throat. “Forgive the impertinence in stating as much, Your Highness…” It takes more effort than she’d like to admit not to put any additional emphasis on his title, to make ‘fuck you’ as diplomatic as she can. “But you seem to be laboring under some misconception. I am not for…sale.”
This was, by far, the strangest breakfast conversation she had had in a long string of strange breakfasts, since coming to this castle.
Silvio scoffs with derision after finishing his bite of souffle. “Everything and everyone can be bought, donna.” Setting his fork aside he dabs at his lips with a crisp linen napkin, before leaning forward and shooting her a crooked grin - teeth bared in a way that reminded her of the fact that dogs were only generations removed from wolves. And could be equally as ravenous. “It’s merely a matter of finding their price. That one thing they just can’t refuse.”
She lets the smallest bit of her ire slip, tugging the corners of her mouth down and her eyebrows up into twin arcs of disbelief. “And supposing, for one ridiculous moment, I did have such a price? You believe I’d just tell you it?”
On a languid shrug, Silvio slouches back into his chair, gaze fixed on her contemplatively as he toys idly with a pendant around his neck. Looking every last inch the disgustingly rich, disgustingly arrogant tyrant she knew him to be. “You wouldn’t be worth it if you did. But figuring it out is half the fun.”
Nothing, not faking her existence as Belle or the harrowing waltz she had to dance day in and day out to keep herself safe in this viper’s nest of a court, had ever filled her with the same sort of gut-wrenching dread as that last sentence did.

Some answers finally, in chp 14 checkpoint - MAJOR RIO SPOILERS:
Rio hasn’t remembered everything, but he remembers enough to tell Belle that he’s the thirdprince of Benitoite, the youngest brother of Silvio and Emidio. This is significant beyond the whole HE’S A PRINCE because as far as anyone else knows, there’s only TWOprinces in Benitoite.
A few things:
Rio’s existence even as an obvious noble had been purposefullyerased, as Sariel and Nokto and others found out when they tried to investigate his past. Not even the sort of, we dunno much about him kind of way. This was running into a blank wall, like he never existed AT ALL. They knew he was close to Silvio - Sariel and Nokto both point out that Silvio seems to care for him in his own backassward way, always keeping Rio nearby as if to keep an eye on him etc, even as these two are at each other’s throats half the time. Sariel and Nokto’s theories are that it would take an insane amount of influence and money to just wipe someone from existence like that…say, the sort of power and money only someone like Silvio would have.
Gilbert implied in a conversation with Silvio that the king of Benitoite (who is stepping down soon to everyone’s surprise, they assumed he’d rule for far longer) is chosen by a process of elimination - and by this I mean, the princes literally murder each other until the last man standing gets the throne. This is why Emidio has come to Rhodolite ostensibly, on the surface at least to improve diplomacy and mix with the other princes and prove himself a worthy heir. The game is trying really hard to make it seem as if Silvio is guilty of trying to murder Rio (Rio’s been attacked and also poisoned thus far) but I am confident it is Emidio’s work.
Whatever happened to Rio three years ago, the details of the circumstances surrounding why he was in a carriage and had that ring and all the other things are still fuzzy, but I’m certain that Silvio capitalized on the situation and Rio’s ‘disappearance’ to make him disappear in truth to protect him from Emidio and Emidio’s machinations. Rio’s implied that he’s been poisoned before, and I am certain Silvio was shrewd enough to use the chance to protect his lil bro as best he could (and perhaps help himself a little by conveniently removing one contender for the crown bloodlessly?) I also don’t get the impression that Rio enjoyed being a prince much, given that he’s proposed running away with Belle entirely after all this blows over. Am I being optimistic in assuming the best of Silvio?? Perhaps…but I know that Cybird won’t make a potential suitor that awful, and I also firmly believe that behind his 'you are THE WORST’ act towards Rio and their level of squabbling, he loves Rio in his own dipshit way.
We shall see if the rest of the route proves me wrong though LOL

Poor Yves has inherited not just one kitchen disaster in Licht but now TWO - Keith also seems to love hanging out in the kitchen and baking with him and Licht, although the apparent results are only explosions and regret. (Not that that stops my sweetie Yves from encouraging them both still)

Apparently there’s 2 princes of Benitoite, Silvio the eldest and Emidio the younger. Sounds suspiciously like ‘Rio’ if you garbled it through a concussion and amnesia, no? And now HE’S supposedly coming for a visit to Rhodolite?? Can’t wait to see what the heck this entails exactly.
Me just softly what the fucking at Rio’s route right now (spoilers behind cut)…
MC knows more than she lets on here, she just admitted to Leon and Clavis in chp 6 that the reason she’s kept Rio at such a distance all these years is because she knows he’s got people out there waiting for him. After she’d found him in the woods half dead, she’d gone back to look for his things or any clues as to who he was. Her and the bookstore owner come across the wreck of his carriage, and inside she finds a nobleman’s jacket and sword and such. But then the shop owner warns her - she can take care of him and look out for him, but never give her heart to that guy.
Because inside the jacket pocket she finds a jewelry box with what is obviously an engagement ring in it.
Does this relate to why Silvio accused Rio of being a coward? Did he run away from some arranged marriage or something? This route some peak level soap opera shit man haha
I headcannon that all the princes have 1 mole on their body with the exeption of one prince. So did there father before them and so will there kids. Its like a family thing.

Chevalier’s route in this current event is just adorable.
They are spending 1 week away from each other and both there pov make it seems like they'v been separated for months. Its just so sweet.
Mc is thinking of chevalier every opportunity she gets and chevalier is in an extremely bad mood because he misses MC.
Incredibly cute. I played the premium ending and bought the epilogue but i m kinda dissapointed by how short the epilogue felt. I usually loves epilogues but this one was not worth it. (Aside from a few lines were chevalier admits he spent all their time apart thinking about her.)

LIST OF ALL MY DEAR BROTHER’S WEAKNESSES (that i can use against him eventually.)
1- Mornings.
Usually takes at least 1 hour to wake him up. I already tried to make him late to an important appointement when we were younger only to discover he is able to wake himself up if needs be. Plan failed.
I also tried to use pranks on him when he is asleep but his natural reflexes make him impossible to prank in any way. Plan failed.
2-Social activities.
He is an introvert. I have yet to think of a way to use this weakness against him.
3-Smiling.
Is not a weakness anymore. Now that he is dating MC, he smiles more easily.
4-MC.
I have many plans but they always seem to fail. It also seems chevalier managed to make Luke her personal body guard. He also always have an eye on her and is protecting her from afar.
One day before christmas: tried to put her in a cage to gift her to him as a present. My dear brother was able to forsee this and protected her. Plan failed.
12th October: tried to make her use an aphrodisiac on him to make him loose control and suffer. I do not know what happened after that but seing that MC was bedridden for 2 days it seems the plan worked. Tried to make MC use a more powerfull aphrodisiac (i added some other medicinal herbs that will make him sneeze and itch all over), but MC refused and i was unable to confince her. Plan failed.
I have other plans in the future and i cant wait to try them out. Sadly it seems MC is become more on guard every time a plan fail so i might need to find some other way.
5-Sneaking
My brother is like an giant dancing in a pottery shop. He cannot sneak at all. His overpowering presence and icy aura makes him impossible to miss. I remember once when we were young and i used to sneak to the city often and i had convinced him to come with me. I used to never get caught but that day we got caught easily as we were trying to climb the walls by our nanny who was cleaning the window on the 4th floor. She had poor eyesight and always wore glasses. How she managed to spot us was a mistery. I was later told by saried that chevalier was hard to miss even in a crowd of 9000 people.
6-Archery
That is a secret that no one knows but my brother is very bad with a bow. Both his techniques and aiming are perfect yet he always manage to snap the bow in two before he can shoot. No one knows that secret but me and i plan to use this against him in front of belle. The hunting contest happens every autumn so i plan to force him to participate by using MC only to have him loose as he cannot use a bow. I cannot wait.

I’m procrastinating again, so another somewhat cursed edit this time: Ikepri boys but their hair color matches their image color a la 2D idol. And another set where it’s their eye color. No real changes for Cheva, and Gilbert regarding hair, Luke, Sariel, and Silvio regarding eyes.
This scenario is very very heavily inspired from a manhwa called ‘seduce the villains father’
-The events happens after the main story. Belle already chose chevalier as a king but did not fall in love with him. U r free to imagine her in love with any of the other princes or she could just be single and become a bureaucrat.
-Our MC is silvio’s sister. She was sent to Rhodolite along silvio to attend Chevalier Corronation.
-There she meets Chevalier and they share the same passion for books. They talk a lot and exchange books from their respective country.
-MC was never scared of Chevalier or his imposing aura. She is a princess after all and she fears no one. She is bubbly and light hearted and likes to live life as it goes.
-Obsidian invade Jade and silvio is forced to return to his home country and leaves MC in Rhodolite because it is safer for her.
-Rhodolite and Benitoite sends troupe to help fend the invasion.
-Meanwhile MC and Chevalier spend even more time together and fall in love. She discover Chevalier’s cruel and merciless side but she is not stupid and knows that sometimes killing is necessary.
-Neverthless she thinks that compromising should comes first and killing can only be used as a last resort.
-They fall more and more in love and one night as they were debating about the importance of balls and socialising they end up kissing each other.
-From then on they kiss many many times but whitout ever deciding what the nature of their relationship is.
-Finally MC snaps out of it and ask Chevaliers what she means to him.
-“I love you, Chevalier! But what about you ?”
“I do not kiss a woman i have no feelings for.”
-And that was all the answer she needed. From that point on they were officially lovers.
-It was a secret relationship that no one aside from the two and Clavis because he surprised them one morning both naked in Chevalier’s bed knew.
-Clavis was kept to silence because MC was scary when she’s angry.
-After that the war between Obsidian and Jade is over and as Chevalier predicted Obsidian is trying to attack Rhodolite instead.
-Chevalier had already predicted that the war with jade was only a diversion and he already had resources ready for the war.
-Neverthless, the jade royal family demanded that Chevalier sent MC back and both he and MC decided it was for the best that she goes back until the political tensions were appeased.
-They spend one last night together and MC goes back to Jade.
-2 years pass and MC and Chevalier never stopped secretly sending letters to each other.
-Chevalier won the war and took most of Obsidian territory making Rhodolite the most powerfull contry in the continent.
-Peace was back and Chevalier decided it was a good time to bring MC back and make her his queen.
-But there is one big problem, MC does not answer his letters anymore.
-He thought of all posibilities but Clavis liked to tease him and says MC got sick of waiting.
-After 2 months of unanswered letters he decides to do something beyond all rationality and reasons going against all his principles.
-Yes, love made the always cool headed and rational chevalier irrational.
-Meanwhile, at Jade royal palace, princess MC was angrily pacing back and forth in her lavish room.
-It has been 2 months she did not receive any letter from Chevalier. She sent him many letters yet she never received any answer.
-She thought of many possibilities, he got sick of her, found someone else to be his queen, it has been 2 years after all maybe he forgot all about her.
-As she was pacing back and forth anxiously her lady in waiting propose she goes to town to take her minds off things.
-The truth is, her lady in waiting in knew why the princess was angry. After all she was the one who discovered the stack of letters she received from Rhodolite’s young king and reported everything to prince silvio.
-Silvio who was overprotective of his 'innocent’ younger sister ordered her to bring to him any letter she might receive from Chevalier. He also ordered her to bring to him any letter the princess ordered her to give to the coursier.
-Because of that none of the letters she wrote for Chevalier were sent. And none of the letters she have received from chevalier came to her hands.
-The lady in waiting, seing how distressed the princess was, felt more and more guilty and proposed to go to town to alleviate her lady’s bad mood.
-MC agrees and goes to town along her lady in waiting and a bodyguard. They roam the busy streets disguised as commoners. MC’s mood is better and for the first time in 2 months she smiles.
-After a while they decided to go to a tavern and rest. As MC takes a seat at a table, the lady in waiting and bodyguard both leave to take their order.
-MC started thinking of Chevalier again. She misses him terribly. Just as she was thinking that maybe she would sneak to Rhodolite and confront him herself a stranger sit in front of her.
-She raise her head ready to tells him she was not alone when she freezes.
-Platinium blonde hair and ice blue eyes were staring at her.
“Finally, we meet again. You simpleton.”
