This neo-progressive track was described as “ethereal goodness, echoey happy that reverberates back a bit sadly”, which, in a nutshell, is the sound of Masquer. Masquer has a unique sound as is almost in an undefinable genre, that could also be depicted as dark pop with a desperate but fragile edge.

I came home from quite a rough night out last week, put on my headphones, pressed play on Psychic Chasms and felt this tune stroke my brain. Yes, in my sotally tober state it felt as though my brain was being stroked. Do not fear: drugs are not my forte. It was the rum that lead to my unstable state of mind. Although, I cannot help but wonder how amazing this track must sound to someone on a trip…

I have recently taken a greater liking to synthpop and chillwave, as I have been exploring all the different dimensions of indie. Neon Indian, Purity Ring and Beat Connection are a few indie bands with an electronic influence that have definitely caught my eye.

Hopefully Psychic Chasms strokes your brain too.
