Another one of my favorite cards from the Woodland Wardens oracle deck. Out now wherever you like to get your books!

I’m so excited to reveal the cover of A Natural History of Mermaids, the third in the Folklore Field Guide series! Written by Emily Hawkins and published by Quarto Kids, it is set to come out this fall and is available for preorder wherever you like to get your books.

I’m excited to share that this Thursday, April 14th, at 6:30pm EST, I’ll be doing a virtual event all about Woodland Wardens with @thosewhobloom. The event is free for all to watch, but if you can’t make the time, you will be able to view it later. You can also purchase a ticket through Bloom to receive your copy of the deck with free shipping, a limited edition (and exclusive to Bloom) sticker, and an entry into a raffle for a reading from me. Some fish I drew for an event hosted by Heirloom Rustic Ales, a brewery I create labels for

A new illustration for Orgabon, featuring a very sweet baby polar bear

A few friends have asked me what my favorite card is in the Woodland Wardens oracle deck, and my answer changes every day because I love them all so much. Today it’s the Hound and Pear. It comes out April 5th and is published by @andrewsmcmeelbooksPreorder here!

With my hellebores in full bloom, I couldn’t resist sharing a sneak peek of my upcoming oracle deck! This is the Bat and Hellebore. Preorder Woodland Wardens wherever you like to get your books, or follow this link.

My 2022 calendars and planners are out now! Published by @andrewsmcmeelbooks and featuring artwork from my book Floriography: An Illustrated Guide to the Victorian Language of Flowers. Here’s a few photos featuring my favorite things about them, from the bouquets in the calendar to the beautiful Smythe sewn binding on the planner (a unique feature that lets the pages lay flat AND eliminates the need for a plastic spiral). Speaking of plastic, there’s none in the calendar, planner, or packaging, and they are printed on uncoated paper sourced from FSC sustainable forests with soy-based inks. You can find them anywhere that sells books, from Bookshop, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, BAM, Book Depository, and more, and in my own shop.

Miles from Nowhere, a new can illustration for Heirloom Rustic Ales.

A few more illustrations for Orgabon! The penguins might just be my favorite of everything I’ve drawn for them.

A spooky wine label for an Heirloom Rustic Ales collab with Poscalora! This one is called Behold the Ghosts. The windows in which ghostly figures appear were printed transparent, so the ghosts only appear on the bottle as the wine empties. The second (admittedly rough) gif is how I pitched the idea, and I’m so glad they went for it!

My 2022 calendar and planner are available to preorder! They are Floriography themed, and you can find them through your favorite indie book store, as well as through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Booksamillion, Bookshop, BookDepository (if you’re outside the US this is a great resource) and any of your other favorite places to get books.

Here’s the dahlia page of my book, featuring a dahlia I grew in my own garden this year.

Temple Dreams, a new can illustration for Heirloom Rustic Ales. One of my favorites I’ve ever drawn for them.

A kea parrot, illustrated for this year’s Artwork for Aves raffle to raise money for the Belize Bird Rescue! Find out more info about the fundraiser on the Artwork for Aves Instagram.

Two more illustrations for Orgabon such a fun series to work on!

A few more illustrations I created for Orgabon, a Korean kids skincare line.

Two illustrations I created recently for Orgabon, a Korean kids’ skincare company. I loved getting to draw these beautiful creatures! More to come soon!

My advance copies of A Natural History of Magick have just arrived! Written by Poppy David and published by Frances Lincoln/Quarto, this scrapbook-like volume shows the history of magic around the globe and includes plants, familiars, tarot, and more! Available for preorder from wherever you like to get your books, coming out this September. More info here!

SALUT 6 opens at 10 AM PST today online at Nucleus Portland! I painted these three coasters, each priced at $65, along with so many other talented artists and illustrators. This is a rare chance to own a color original from me, since I hardly ever paint traditionally. Check it out!

I’m so excited to share my 2022 calendar… Floriography: Secret Meaning of Flowers! And, even more exciting, there will be a Floriography 2022 planner! Both are available for preorder now from your favorite booksellers. It has been a dream come true to work with @andrewsmcmeelbooks on these. They are made from 100% recyclable materials with no plastic in the product or packaging, with soy-based inks and paper sourced from FSC sustainable forests. Both feature full-color artwork from my book, Floriography: An Illustrated Guide to the Victorian Language of Flowers. They’ll be released September 14th, but preorders are SO helpful and important to authors and artists like myself. It makes sure the publisher is able to make enough for everyone who wants one, and it boosts the rank of the calendar and planner so more people can find it (and my work!) So if you typically buy a calendar from me and want to check this out early, a preorder is a fantastic way to support my work and make sure you’ll get one when they come out. I’m SO excited about these, and I really hope you are, too!

I illustrated the cover and a few interior spots for The Bread Baker’s Notebook, coming soon from Princeton Architectural Press! Perfect for your friends who got really into bread baking during the pandemic, it has helpful tips and places to record your bread journey. It looks like it’s coming out at the end of June. Photos via the Princeton Architectural Press website.

A dreamy whale shark, with constellations instead of spots, for Heirloom Rustic Ales’ latest brew, Undertow.

I’m so excited to share the cover I illustrated for The Witch’s Path: Advancing Your Craft at Every Level by Thorn Mooney, published by Llewellyn. I got to draw all of my favorite things! A big thanks to the art director Lynne Menturweck and designer Shira Atakpu. The book comes out later this year.
