Alright, sorry for the slight delay. Here’s the first taste of what to expect in Terminal Desires for everyone to try out. If you find any issues or bugs let me know and I can prepare another patch if it’s something game breaking.

Please consider supporting on Patreon if you’d like to have your say in what content gets added and early access to future versions.

I’ve had lot’s of fun working on this so far and there’s plenty more to come in further updates!

So, how’s everyone doing? Good? Let’s talk about…stuff. Yeah, stuff!

The Tumblr turned 7 earlier this month. Yay, I guess? Seven years feels like a long time, really…

But yeah, as promised, here is a State of the Writer!

Current Projects

The one overhanging project at this point is Wild Suzi. Part 3 stalled before my trip to Europe. I intend to finish the writing for this Part and conclude this arc this month. It’s been going on too long, and I want to move on to something else, at least take a breather from that particular project.

Immediate Backlog

I have two stories I started this year but never got around to finishing. One is a project set in Madscientist’s Infested Alley universe, my first attempt at both a story in that universe and a quick piece. I hope to get that done next, because that should be fast.

The other story is a DizzyDills story set in his (primary) universe. There’s never been an origin story for Sasha Jenson, the Captain of the Andromeda. I thought to make one, especially one that takes a more interesting twist from previous stories. That’s about…40-50% done?

Follow-On Backlog

So, there are two projects that have been sitting for the longest time. I’ll go over these now.

The rewrite/re-release of Lust Unleashed: Awakening is still something I want to do. The edits are done, it’s a matter of remaking it for a more suitable release on Amazon and elsewhere. However, a conversation with @thedude3dx is giving me…well, let’s just say I’m not sure how to proceed at this point. I could spend a couple weeks finishing this, but then publication may face issues.

The second is Emily’s Negotiation. For the sake of restarting that project, I want to do something new with it. It might require rewriting some of the story, but nothing too serious. I’ve yet to speak to JimJim about my plans, but I will later this week.

Projects In Consideration

Something that’s become clear to me in recent months is that it’s no longer enough to just be a writer in this scene, or even in erotic art in general. Yes, I know, obvious. But the point is that I’m not going to make any headway with the scene at large just by being a writer.

At the same time, I can’t be a 3DX artist, at least at the moment. I currently run a 2015 MacBook Pro Retina Display, 13-inch. It uses Intel graphics, which as we all know are trash at anything before, say, 2012. (I should know, I can barely run Cities: Skylines on it).

One theoretical option would be to get an eGPU. However, Apple has essentially killed off any hopes of running a TB2-based eGPU officially because Tim Cook is a money-grubbing piece of shit. Additionally, eGPU functionality remains shitty on macOS…it can only be run on external displays. So, to even consider it, I’d have to not only buy a monitor, but downgrade macOS to an earlier version that still (unofficially) supported TB2-based eGPUs. And that’s on top of buying a dock and graphics card. That’s more hoops than me running Windows of an external. Sorry, not happening.

That leaves buying/building a new computer. I’m not in the market though: I do not intend to buy anything new until I move to a new apartment, which is not happening until next year at the earliest.

So what can I do?

I’ve been thinking about doing behind-the-scenes stuff. Mainly learning how to script on a couple engines. The two that stand out to me are Ren’Py (the VN engine) and Unity. There was a recent Humble Bundle sale involving building for Unity, and I picked up most of the tools there.

I think, when I clear the immediate backlog, I’ll consider spending time on these. This might lead to some…interesting projects. Of course, that said…

Projects At Will

There are/will be occasions where I want to write something else out of spur of the moment. I’ve been wanting to write some scripts again, for example. There’s one I may do that’s really short (like, for a 1-2 minute long animation). If these occur, and should I be privvy to discuss them, I’ll let you know.

Plus, there are other stories I’ve been meaning to write. From DizzyDills:

  • A story involving Gwen
  • Continuing A Fun Little Swim
  • A weird series involving Sylvia

Other stories:

  • My Infested Alley series involving Dr. Mehri
  • Creating a story surrounding the Velma commissions.

We will see how these pan out.

Anyway, that’s all for now. Going to head out tonight to see a friend. Later!
