The challenge was to combine fossil bone with a military character.
Kamikaze Ptero-Unit
Strapped with comp B and a light machine gun (lightly based off of the Japanese Type 97 machine gun), this Japanese WW2 ‘pilot’ is about to take his first and last flight.
The idea is that his arms interlock with each other, making the gun complete and ready to fire. One arm holds the ammunition, the other the actual gun. Once the two lock and the locks of the wings connect with the suit & boots, the wings will open and the pilot can fly.
However, once locked, the suit will stay locked, trapping the pilot into his own suit and making the mission his only option.

Mongol invasions of Japan
The Mongol invasion attempts of 1274 and 1281 were important nation building points in Japanese history. Through these failed attempts came about a stronger sense of Japanese identity as well as setting a boundary on mongol expansion.
The word “kamikaze” or “divine winds” was widely used to describe these events as the Mongol lost the majority of their troops to major storms that swept through the sea of Japan just as the Mongols made their way to the Japanese mainland.

On November 25th 1944 at 1256 hours, Lt. Yoshinori Yamaguchi attacked USS Essex with a special attack aircraft D4Y3 Model 33 aircraft. 15 were killed with another 44 wounded, Essex was quickly repaired and soon took on Typhoon Cobra.
