- The USA deposits the money into Yotsuba Bank of Japan savings accounts as instructed.
- Minoru gives up the Death Note so it can be taken to the US President.
- Ryuk meets with the Shinigami King, who creates a new rule about selling Death Notes.
- Ryuk presents the Death Note to the US President, who refuses to accept it to save his own life.

Day 28: Toy
Kiyomi feels like one of Light’s dolls.

“I’m so pretty. Yes, I look good today, don’t I?” Kiyomi says to her mirror, combing her fingers through her already neatly brushed black bob.
She doesn’t say what she’s really thinking.
She feels pretty, just pretty enough for him, just right.
Like a little doll.
A toy, because she believes that is how he really views her, but she doesn’t mind. Not really. She tries not to. She tells herself that she doesn’t.
Dolls can be important too. They can be lovely creatures carved in lovely porcelain, immortal forever. They hold a certain power when kept behind glass, when you can look and never touch and be left to wonder what mysteries their glass eyes hold. They don’t look like much, but if made just right, dolls can take over men and ruin systems.
It doesn’t much matter what you look like. Well, if does of course in a general sense, it matters what you look like when determining your place in society. If you want to be loved and praised and kept on high clouds than you must follow all of the beauty standards to a T. It’s an art form, but that’s not what she’s thinking.
Dolls can have perfect curls and perfect hoop skirts and curled black lashes, they can look like darlings at the ball and sweet little housewives, but appearances can be deceiving.
Look at Light, all he looks like is an attractive fool, but he’s the fool who bought the world at a bargain.
And her? She might not look like anything more than a blushing bride waiting to be carried over the threshold only to be chained to the kitchen, but she’s so much more than that. She’s a waiting winter storm, and in due times her frost will glaze over all of those unimportant men who never cared about her.
If people think you’re stupid, then they become stupid. Sloppy. They make mistakes you think you want notice but she always does. Underestimation is key, it’s just that much sweeter when you finally break everyone’s heart.
Boys love toys and girls love boys.
She just hope Kira knows not to break his toys.
Kiyomi will let herself be manhandled and posed, she’ll lie in wait in the toy box and bid her time. She’ll pretend she doesn’t understand Light’s true motives, she’ll smile with all of her teeth and make him tea when he asks, and she’ll be window dressing for his success….
While all the while cleaning out a glass case for her own doll.
