things I’m tired of on tv shows:

~ the white man always being the hero

~ few women-only scenes when a majority of the show is made up of men-only scenes

~ cheap “diversity” aka having a leading white cishet man, an emotional white woman, and poc on the main team with minor roles and stereotyped personalities, and one gay couple.

~ recycled plot lines. for example, death in paradise always has the authoritive white man having a crush on the a woman working below him

gays aren’t “starved for representation” you just refuse to watch anything that isn’t a marvel movie

“but gay representation still hardly exists in the mainstream” gay rep will NEVER exist in the mainstream if you don’t support indie lgbt projects, if you don’t prove the demand for depth for complexity for love, if you don’t just fucking google actual lgbt films

seeing a couple people on this post talking about how there’s no media about lgbt people of colour. here’s a list of over 100 films with lgbt protagonists of colour.

Oh if your so smart then where is my happy ending lesbian film that isn’t a period piece, only featuring teenagers, or set in like the 80s/90s????

I could list at least 30 films like this you definitely haven’t seen but I’m not going to make it easy for you bc you ship snarry and sound like a cunt

Hi everyone! YA Pride is currently putting together our Spring 2020 issue, and we need your help! We are running an identity feature and need responses from queer or questioning teens on what identity means to them. Participation entails filling out a word or short phrase pertaining to identity (your identity, your feelings surrounding identity, etc.) for each letter of the word “identity”. All answers will be anonymous. We would much appreciate reblogs so we can reach as many people as possible. Here’s the link!
