Spoilers for 5.5

• As much as I love Patsy I was delighted to see Delia doing something aside from her and being something other than “Patsy’s secret girlfriend”. I’ve always wanted Delia to train as a midwife, and she might now! Just thought she was excellent in that scene. Although there was nowhere near enough Patsy and Delia (especially Patsy) this episode.
• The whole scene with the woman delivering her own baby whilst Delia talked her through it was fantastic, I don’t know I just really thought it was really something special.
• I also really liked it when Patsy walked through when Delia just got off the phone and gave her that look of just being proud of her. Also she did that look when they were all clapping Delia around the table and having top banter. For the hundredth time (or fourth probably) everyone is really funny this series.
• When Nurse Crane was telling the woman about her mother I was almost crying, but then again I cried at Deathly Hallows Part.2 on Friday night even though I’ve seen it countless times so maybe it’s just me.
• Tim is the best I love him, he researches psychology like I do which was awesome to see, it’s also really nice to see someone almost my age being right and having their parents agree with them if that makes sense. Lots of the Turner family tonight! 
• I just really liked this episode everything was great including Tim and Nurse Crane my all time favorites. Looking forward to next week where I’m assuming we’ll see more Patsy, Delia and more of the younger midwifes in general.

Spoilers for 5.4

• It was just a top quality bit of television wasn’t it? BBC and Heidi and everyone else that makes Call the Midwife just make everything so well and handle all the stories perfectly.
• I like that there are more scenes with all the midwifes and Delia together, the one on the steps was really good before Trixie got all funny with Barbara. Again like I’ve said each time Delia’s really funny.
• Patsy and Delia had a good wee bit there when Patsy got home from work, Delia looked so cute with her hair down and everything was lovely. It was clearly a perfect moment for a kiss mind you, but again classic Call the Midwife it’s pretty much lewd if a couple bloody brushes arms.
• Everyone in our living room was going “Trixie no, stop it!” when we saw her with the baby cham, thank God Tom took it off her before she had any of it.
• I’m really glad Trixie and Tom were talking and sorted things out between them. I’m not sure if everyone agrees with me but I think Tom and Barbara are great together.
• Nurse Crane has suddenly become a fast favorite for me. She’s hilarious, mostly accidentally, and she gives quality advice, all of her scenes are the best.
• You’d think there would be a limited amount of nursing related story-lines to keep everyone interested but apparently not. The Cunningham baby being left in the sluice with the windows wide open was grim. I’m usually not Sister Julienne’s number one fan but I actually really liked her this episode. I feel like she’s usually just there to calm everyone down and to be the voice of reason, also to represent the old way of thinking and to be proved wrong by one of the younger midwifes such as Trixie in 5.1. There’s nothing wrong with that, it was just nice to see her involved in a story-line completely.
• I also really liked the Bible verse, I believe it’s Isaiah 43:1, that she said as the baby died. Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t that the same one from 4.2 that Tom used at the baby April Bisset’s funeral, I can’t say I’m religious but I just love it.
• One of my brothers and I thought the boy, Ian, was going to attempt suicide. Another thing I like about Call the Midwife is that they don’t just have characters kill themselves to get the point across that they’re in a horrible situation, they do it excellently without that. They did it in 4.3 with Tony Amos too.
• Good to see the Turners having some good scenes, and two scenes with top banter from Tim. They haven’t really had anything since 5.1 so I’m very glad. Also I love Tim. Also Angela is cute.
• I’ll finish with another top quote from Barbara, “Now, if you don’t mind, I really need to get on with these fuzzy felt apostles”. God I love her.

Spoilers for 5.3

• Patsy’s face when she was rushing home and up the stairs because she knew Delia was home.
  
• Just those two together, they’re so cute.
• Delia being at Nonnatus and it being shown that it’s going to be murder for them to try and stay a secret whilst all living together. Plus Delia being funny about it, she’s actually really funny this series I like her a lot.
• Saying that, I’m pretty sure Nurse Crane and maybe even to some degree Sister Julienne, know about Patsy and Delia. I don’t think Trixie is too far off the mark either and it’s just a matter of time before Sister Monica Joan says something poetic about it to one of them. 
• Patsy did more of this last episode but she says a lot of things which are clearly about how she has to hide her relationship/sexuality, she usually says it to someone like Nurse Crane or Trixie as well, someone who is sharp enough to catch on to what she really means.
• I really like Nurse Crane being involved with all the other midwifes and giving them advice but also having a laugh with them. The scenes when they’re all at Nonnatus talking together are great. She was very good to Trixie about her AA meetings as well.
• Again I really like Barbara and Tom together, I don’t think Trixie and Tom were right for each other at all.
• Sister Winifred and Mrs Whitmore’s storyline was excellent, I guessed she was going to go for the coat hanger which was awful when she did. I notice that nobody seems to like her as a character but I quite like Sister Winifred, she can be awfully judgmental at times but she learned from her mistakes this time.
• Is it bad that I don’t miss Sister Evangelina at all? She made things worse most of the time.
• The symbolism of Sister Monica Joan planting the weeds with Patsy, I kid you not I’m going to learn how to gif as soon as my prelims are over.
• Overall the best moment was when Barbara called Nurse Crane a brick. What a good word.

Spoilers for 5.7

• It was a strange one tonight, I really loved it but I can’t get my head around some of it, as I am sure you’ll see from my ramble. Good luck to anyone who attempts to read this in it’s entirety.
• Patsy in Delia’s bed in the morning was really cute, like the way she smiled and stroked her hair.
  
• Also Patsy’s pajamas (and her legs) when she was walking back to her room are nice.
• I liked the Tom and Barbara bits, you know it showed they’re human. Although my step-dad rather annoyingly spent the time discussing Tom being rather inappropriate for a man of the cloth. I thought the brill cream incident was hilarious.
• I’m surprised that Sister Winifred didn’t have more to say on the matter of the pill, she’s usually the one representing an old way of thinking more aggressively with Sister Julienne sort of agreeing but in a more calm manner.
• Once again I love Nurse Crane, she’s so funny I can’t get over it. Her remarks when the midwifes came in late were hilarious, and so was her asking Sister Julienne’s permission to say the word penis. And back for a second time the good old phrase “It’s like going for a paddle with your socks on”.
• I was glad we saw Trixie at AA again, I just love her I’m so glad she is getting better, and valuing her friends even more.
  
• I liked Patsy and Delia’s response to Sister Julienne’s concern of an increase in “recreational intercourse”, they always have the best view on things. I think Sister was forgetting though that Tom isn’t a nun, and that he has a girlfriend! I feel so sorry for them when Tom’s talking about the value of marriage. It’s just so awful they have to think about every single thing they say, be on guard all the time. Delia had a cheeky wee glance at Patsy when she said desire though haha, during which Sisters Mary Cynthia and Winifred looked entirely uncomfortable.
• I agree that Tom was forced into hypocrisy there but I also agree with Barbara that he needs to know his stuff if he’s going to be involved in all of this. I like them together a lot. I also think Barbara is a lot less naive than she was originally made out to be. 
• Nurse Crane is so lovely, I liked that she told Barbara about her mother. And about the Air Force Sergeant! Oooooh what a dark horse, Barbara was so excited when she told her! God it’s sad though that he died, I had the exactly the same reactions Barbara did throughout!
• I like how she talks about seizing the moment and then it goes straight to Patsy and Delia. A good scene, understandable from both of them.
• Sister Evangelina then, I think they went a bit over the top with her first two scenes though. Like she doesn’t have to be such a PRAT. My Mum seems to get a lot more out of all the sisters talking about the messages they receive from the Lord through things happening. I don’t think I will ever understand it, I’m far too cynical to see that much good coming from a stroke, that’s probably a bad thing. 
• Patsy and Delia looked so nice at gateways! That was a ridiculously short scene though that deserved a kiss! Still I loved it.
• I’m quite interested in the next time bit when Delia is talking! But I don’t want next week to come because then that will be the end of it until Christmas.
