Bahag is a traditional garment worn by men in what is now the Philippines before the arrival of European colonizers in the 16th century. It’s still worn by some indigenous tribes today and I’m fascinated by them.

Ironmaster (1983)
Here’s a 2nd post from 1983′s “Ironmaster”. More GIFs of Sam Pasco as Ela running around in a loincloth skimpy enough to make Tarzan blush. :)
Actor / bodybuilder Sam Pasco made the top 10 in the 1983 & 1984 Mr. America competitions. There’s a b&w photo of Sam during his bodybuilding / modeling career at the bottom. He often sported a mustache - but not when Ironmaster was filmed.
This will be the 2nd of 3 posts from Ironmaster. There’s still some good clips of Sam to mine from this gem!

Tarzan - Season 1, Episode 8
“The Deadly Silence”
After enduring a barrage of grenades thrown at him while underwater, Tarzan takes to the trees. Unfortunately, his balance is off due to the attack … The Jungle Lord falls from a tree into a pit of quicksand below!
Note: Now technically, I don’t know that Tarzan falls strictly into superhero category. But he’s built (depending on the actor), usually handsome, and there’s a small bit of spandex (under the loincloth), so for me he’s fair game for this tumblr page!
Ron Ely, pictured here is the Tarzan from the late 60s NBC TV show. In the future, I’ll do some posts with a couple better built Tarzan’s … Gordon Scott & Mike Henry.
