legolas

legolas was very much one for having braids in his hair, though always done tastefully; he had grown up braiding his own hair, and was rather skilled in doing so. he had no problem doing it himself, but when you offered your talents up, he was quick to oblige. legolas loved nothing more than the gentle feeling of you drawing the sides of his hair into intricate plaits, and even more so when your hands would accidentally brush against his ear. after years of being with him, you had come to realise that the tips were one of the most sensitive parts on his body, and every time you would come into contact there, a great shiver would run down his spine. from then on, you would always take time out of your mornings to put in his hair for the day, and always at least an hour at night to remove it. though sleep was not much of a concern for legolas, laying in bed with you on an evening was just another opportunity for you to run your hands through his platinum locks.

-

haldir

being a marchwarden often meant that haldir was away from you for prolonged periods of time, and consequently - when he finally returned to you - was rather touch starved. after the obvious greetings when arriving back at lothlorien, you both would retire to your chambers in order for you to run your hands through his hair. you would give him a gentle head massage, eliciting an endless string of soft groans of relief. amidst this, you would begin to braid his hair, and given the amount available, a good few hours would you spend doing this. haldir would often tell you stories of what he saw at the borders of mirkwood, of how he and his brothers would tease each other, of all the strange folk he came in contact with. though you knew your days weren’t spent doing such exciting things as his, he would always love to hear your tales anyway, no matter how menial they may seem to you (especially since it lengthened the amount of time you had your hands in his hair).

-

elrond

elrond was surprised to learn of your skill in braiding, even though you perhaps hadn’t as much practise as he had. whatever intricate creation you would conjure up never failed to impress him, and he would wear it proudly to council meetings, seeing it as an extension of yourself he was able to have at all times. not to mention how much he enjoyed the feeling of your hands against his scalp. days were long and often he would have to attend more than one meeting - even on quieter days - so to have no responsibility with you, and to just be completely relaxed was truly a blessing. as almost a means of payment, elrond would tell you old tales that he had picked up across the years. you would carefully take out the braids before you laid down to rest, even then running your hand through his soft hair until you finally drifted off to sleep.

-

thranduil

thranduil would never have admitted it, but the first time you absentmindely brushed your hand through his hair had given him a great sense of pleasure, so much so that it lingered long in his mind. his hair was always down and bare of braiding, but soon he began to entertain the possibility of you doing so. though of course never to wear in public, the thought of you gently pulling at his hair, drawing it into a great number of braids seemed like a delightful idea. eventually, he broke and asked you rather sheepishly to play with his hair, a little worried that it may affect your opinion of him; of course you obliged, any excuse to run your hands through his silken elvish locks. it became a nightly routine, and despite how many braids you put in, luckily his hair would return to its ever perfectly straight disposition by morning.

-

lindir

lindir would absolutely love you playing with his hair, though only when he knew you had complete privacy. whenever he would feel anxious or stressed, coming back to you on a night always managed to calm him down. you would spend hours like this, sitting behind him, running your hands through his dark hair. sometimes he would relate to you all of his worries, knowing he could be wholly open with you; others he would merely sit in silence at the end of he bed whilst you knelt behind him, simply delighting in the soft sensation of your braiding. whether it be intricate or just a multitude of simple plaits, you would take your time, gently tugging at the strands to form them.
