Dear Lord, the latest chapter of Laws of Attraction is just amazing???

Very important topic to be discussed in a VERY important moment. Art and entertainment should ALWAYS bring to the table discussions like these.

And to be VERY honest, antivaxxer’s opinion is just like nazi’s—IT DOESN’T MATTER.

And please don’t come to me with that bullshit of freedom of speech/freedom of choice. You can go fuck yourself with your freedom of speech/choice.

As a proud Brazilian playing Slow Burn I really, really, really enjoyed chapters 5 and 6 and how they represented Brazil and Brazilian’s culinary in it.

And how they did a good research to showcase food that are not that popular among foreigners. I mean… Feijoada, Caipirinha, Brigadeiro and Pão de Queijo are super mainstream, but I was actually surprised when they mentioned Galinhada, an all time favorite of my late grandma as well ❤️

Quindim is also one of my fav desserts (guys, you just have to TRY that. It’s one of the most amazing foods in the entire world. Pave is a classic and well known for linguistic jokes every Christmas and New Year’s Eve) and batida de abacaxi com coco is to die for.

Even the cultural aspects were represented well. Okay, I’m not from Rio (even though I’ve been to the city and absolutely LOVED it, minus the hellish weather) and I’ve never been to it during Carnival, but I think they got the spirit of what we call Feira de Rua or Feira Livre = Street Fairs. You’ve got this lively vibe and there’s a lot going on and Pastel is a MUST do if you happen to be in a Feira, checking out the locals’ art is a must do as well.

BUT… Not everything is perfect and as a Brazilian it’s my duty to inform you all that NO SELF-RESPECTING restaurant owner would call their restaurant TUDO AZUL. It’s quite popular to have restaurant/diners and bars here called Ze’s Bar or Chico’s Bar or even Bar do Zé, most of time the apostrophe is used wrongly as well, adapting to a Brazilian rule even we don’t get haha and Hortencia Gadelha… That name sounded… unlike Brazilians. I don’t know… What about some last name like Silva, Ferreira, Pereira, Santos… I don’t know… something like that? xD

Anyway, loved this chapter and I’m absolutely loving Slow Burn as a whole. Amazing book! Great work, PB!

Scotland’s Darien Scheme as it Has Never Been Told

Opportunities: Jamie Leith in Darien (Book One of The Jamie Leith Chronicles) is the story of the Darién Venture seen through the eyes of a rough and tumble Edinburgh street urchin turned accidental explorer. The book is a roller-coaster adventure set against the backdrop of Scotland’s ‘last chance’ at survival…

Edinburgh, 1698. Scotland’s crops had failed again, and starvation was building in the cities. A plan was hatched to colonize Panama, ship goods overland, and hence shorten the voyage to India. Half the available cash in Scotland was raised to support the project. Five ships and three thousand souls set off in a quest to be the salvation of an ailing nation.

Young Jamie Leith inadvertently stows away and wakes a prisoner of the venture, manacled to its success or failure. Determined to survive at all costs, Jamie faces enemies, storms, and sickness with optimism and a ‘ne'er say die’ attitude.

Opportunities is a classic adventure tale infused with the land on your feet spirit that lies in the heart of all Scots.

• FinishedreadingAny way the Wind Blows byRainbow Rowell last night. (spoiler alert)

After a week I finished it, and the ending left me wanting more… especially because the last few pages was about them discovering for the first time that Simon’s Mom was Lucy who was married to the Mage… like why would you end it at that? There better be a book 4 cause I won’t accept that this is how the story ends for them!! Plus simon has a new sword!!! An Excalibur!!! Which also is the reason why he discovered the truth about his Mom.. and also I’m so happy for Simon cause he’s no longer an orphan. He has a grandmother now who loves to be bake and feed him all the sandwiches and cakes he wants haha. And oh! Penelope.. I really love the part were she single handedly out wit a demon and freed Sheppard from a marriage contract he foolishly brought upon himself.. and now I’m excited to see if Penny and Sheppard would have there own adventures back in Nebraska, maybe getting Sheppard out of a few more bargains that he foolishly agreed on.. the only thing that disappointed me was Agatha’s plot twist.. I guess there was a few hints during Wayward Son that it would happened but I kinda wish it didn’t but hey.. I’m not mad about it.. I aslo liked that she took Ebb’s place in taking care of the goats.. I kinda wish she had more time in the lime light showing of her skill as a wizard.. I men she fking cast a spell without a wand and without saying a word.. hopefully if there is a book four. There’s more of Agatha showing she not some damsel in distress.

Overall I enjoyed the book it really showed the growth of each character that I love since Carry On.. Maybe a little too much growth? There were a lot of “couple” moments in this book compared to the last two.. there were even some words that I didn’t expect reading in this book, but hey! I’m not complaining. haha! Anyways I might read Carry on tonight to help me sleep. You guys should definitely join the band wagon on this fandom! If you love Harry Potter and you love shipping him to Draco then this series is definitely for you! The author is obviously not homophobic ;)
