I spent incredible amount of time, almost 150 hours, on indie lowfantasy mercenary sim Battle Brothers. Their simple artstyle inspired me enough to recreate few of the bandit armors from this game to further use in Morrowind or even it’s Skyrim recreation.

First guy is designed with “lamellar harness” item as a reference, but for the most parts design is mine. Other 2 are fully build using inventory icons as concept art.

Hlaalu Brassguard got heavily redesigned recently. Hope this would be the last iteration of these guys. I took inspiration from traditional European armors pattern and added some Dunmeric details to it. The most western-oriented house must have most western-oriented armor. A bit of cargo-cult.

Not as pretty as I would’ve liked, but eh, it’s good enough for an exercise.
IK bones are fun to play with, but I need to learn more about using them. Also, animation and setting up keyframes in general, I need to practice that more as well.
Gradients are great. Messing with vertices on the UVs is fun.
