Jacob van Utrecht (b.1479 - d.1529), ‘Portrait of a Young Woman from Lubeck, possibly of the Von Allard family, holding a carnation’, oil on panel, Dutch/German, circa 1525, currently in the collection of the Louvre, Paris, France.
The coat of arms are attributed to a North German Family of Dutch Origin, the Von Allards; with the carnation representing an engagement. Passing through multiple notable collections of the 19th century, including the Marquise Gian Martino Arconati-Visconti, it was donated to the Louvre in 1914.
