Time to play some Vorthos Volleyball! Thanks to everyone who suggested themes for this round. The most requested theme was a focus on Magic Origins or Core Sets in general, and since we’re right in the middle of spoiler season for Origins, that sounds good to me! 

A couple things before we get started… 

• For those who haven’t played Vorthos Volleyball before, you can find the rules explained in an earlier post by clicking on this bullet point. 
  
• After ten consecutive volleys, please delete the content above your response, except for the question and/or flavorless card you’re responding to. (This is to prevent crashing people’s mobile dashboards, which has happened before.) 
• Quick reminder that there is no debating other players’ answers. The point of the game is to have fun, not be right.
• As a final note, I highly recommend checking out the notes for the post. You might see some responses from people you don’t follow yet, and find some cool new blogs worth checking out!

1) The Rakdos have a HIGHLY EFFECTIVE graffiti campaign for recruiting new members. The two-word phrase they use isn’t suitable for all ages, but it’s approximate meaning is “We are opposed to the existence of rules, and refuse to follow any.”

1) For the card art on Dwynen, Gilt Leaf Daen, does anybody know what the background is supposed to be? For the life of me, I can NOT figure it out.

1.) In the background, it appears to be several layers of sediment and rocked stacked a top each other which has plant and elf life growing on it.

1.) Kothophed is said to be a very powerful demon, yet has a similar ability to Blood Gift Demon. Are demons on Innistrad more powerful, or what?

2.) Flavor text for Thopter Spy Network.

1) Kothophed is able to do much more than just what’s on his card. His ability just represents what he’s willing to do for YOU.

2) If you can see the thopters, they can see you. If you can’t see the thopters, it’s because you’re already in prison.

1) How do you interpret the flavor of Pyromancer’s Goggles?

1) It serves as inspiration. I suppose many fire mages have heard of Jaya and idolize her (as Chandra does), so wearing the goggles is probably super empowering and really brings out a mage’s inner fire.

1) You wouldn’t believe the arsenal he keeps hidden in all those pillowcases.
