I watched her drift away from me on the winds that brought her here, leaving me with nothing but that moment we met, a moment I caught, mine forever wrapped in a memory. I held onto it, knowing I needed nothing else of her. A memento to remind me that beauty cannot be caught, freedom should not be contained, and to love is not to own another, but to give away freely the colours of ones soul.

Of all the colours that she felt; the fervent oranges, palmy greens and decadent purples, my heart sunk in the depths of her ocean blues. In her reflection I discovered that to feel the brightest colours one must know the darkest; to feel everything was to plunge oneself into the ocean and ascend bathed in golden sunlight.
