This week was Spring break for my kids. We didn’t travel anywhere and decided to just do staycation My husband & I took a day off on Monday to go to the Houston Zoo with our kids. Or at least that was the plan. The zoo was “like a zoo”! The line was so long because all the school districts in the greater Houston are doing Spring Break on the same week this year ♀️ So we decided to just hang out at the nearby park, got some vegan gelato, and rented a pedal boat. It turned out to be so fun and relaxing! We had a gorgeous day with a cloudy sky and lots of cool breeze. On the walk back to our car, I saw this tree that was completely covered in what I thought were red leaves. Turned out they were red maple seeds! Never saw this type of tree in Houston before. I took some for this color match. It was a truly lovely day
