sometimes i feel guilty for not doing literally everything i possibly can at every possible moment to combat fascism but then i remember that i would just die if i tried that! and not be useful in any way!
for me i am glad to have a creative outlet / wonderful and welcoming community where i can write dorky x-man roleplay in between medicking and sex work advocacy and all the rest of it. like. if all i did was sit and stress about nazis i’m not sure where my mental health would be.
but, the marvel roleplay server i’m on is mostly qpoc, really good about shutting down instances of bigotry if they come up, nonhierarchically run/collectively staffed by all its members, and has some of the most engaging and creative writers i’ve ever had the joy to write things with. after A Long Time being around roleplay communities that were rife with microaggressions it’s a breath of fresh air and welcome decompression space from the world sometimes.
i don’t know if other marvel fans (especially qpoc marvel fans) are on the lookout for welcoming communities to write with but if so, come and play with us.
