I was hoping this would happen since WeComics dropped the translation, so glad it’s a reality! And hopefully the translations will be better than what WeComics used to offer.
Can’t wait for all of you to see the original manhua since the snippets I show are just a percentage of the wonderful whole. I hope they incorporate the manhua artist’s extended uncensored panels that they post on their Twitter as well!

Ok seriously this is one of my favorite Jiggy moments cuz of how he totally did a 180 on his “talk later” stance cuz bitch is as nosey as anyone of us about what Wei Ying is about to say.
Their reactions, esp Jin Ling. Poor boy traumatized by his uncle’s outburst of TMI. When I first read this scene in the book I remember covering my eyes and shaking my head in second hand embarrassment. Of all the things Wei Ying could’ve yelled out….. Still, I absolutely love this moment and how in character it is for him.
Wei Ying is catching Lan Zhan this time.
Love how Big Bro Xichen had step in lest things get even more embarrassing or steamier. Like, hold off until you get inside, boys. Also love how Jiggy’s like alright I’ve had enough of all this lovey-dovey crap, I’m going back in the temple to dig up my mom’s corpse.

They left out Wei Ying’s line in the book where he says “You understand my ass!” to Jin Guangyao when he says he understands Wei Ying’s anxiousness to get back to Lan Zhan. A shame, I always thought that line was funny.
Between the audio drama, donghua and now manhua, my favorite adaptation of these scenes still is the audio drama. The amazing score and performances, especially Wang Kai-laoshi’s Lan Xichen, just made the scenes so much more gut-wrenching. Of course I was utterly grateful to the donghua for even including the cave scene, but…just listen how much MORE it is in audio drama (I included the cave scene and then Big Bro Xichen’s You don’t know scene):
In the cave scene, I just love the way the music reaches a crescendo when Wei Ying says “Get lost” to Lan Zhan ( or, according to MTL, “roll” ). And the very resolute way Lan Zhan refuses to leave Wei Ying’s side even when his elders tell him to is just…ugh, my heart just clenches for him. Then Big Bro’s “You can actually say you do not know” is like heart-aching itself…almost as if Wei Ying was breaking HIS heart instead of his little brothers’. It’s just…PERFECTION.
Next week, finally, Lan Zhan’s life is in Jin Guangyao ’s hands.

MDZS manhua chap 232: Welp, looks like officially, WangXian’s first papapa happened OFF SCREEN, but we do get the knives af aftermath

Yep, the chapter just starts like this . So no bathtub to bed papapa scene it seems. Haven’t seen any leaks of it either. I guess this is a clever way to naturally bypass that scene without making it too obvious that it’s due to censorship. But hey! At least they still absolutely acknowledged that WangXian slept together. I was kinda expecting a more severe edit tbh. Thankful they didn’t just jump to Guanyin Temple.
Interestingly enough, in the book, Wei Ying’s words of thanks was more lengthy: “In these two lives, you’ve helped me a lot. I know you’re… really nice to me. You’re really great! Apart from thank you, I don’t know what else to say to you… Anyways, towards you, I feel… I feel….” –from chap 95, translated by Exiled Rebels. In this chap of the manhua, Wei Ying only THOUGHT most of that…what came out was only his thank you. Either way, end result was still the same…
Lan Zhan still misunderstood and thought Wei Ying slept with him just out of gratitude so he shoves him away.
He’s so wrought with emotion he’s shaking.
More knives: Wei Ying feeling so ashamed, thinking that he took advantage of Hanguang-jun who was just being platonically nice, that Lan Zhan doesn’t like him THAT way.
Seeing Wei Ying tremble like that, Lan Zhan wanted to reach out to help him put on his clothes….
This whole scene always makes my heart clench up. First time I read it in the book I actually cried cuz I just felt so bad for Wei Ying…he just felt so ashamed…when there was absolutely no reason for him to be. Ugh. Honestly I feel bad for both of them. Misunderstandings suck ass.
The chapter ends with Wei Ying just dismissing their papapa as nothing, pretty much just two bros helping each other out . I laugh but ofc the knife is twisted further into Lan Zhan’s heart.
**the last line of what Wei Ying was saying should be “You don’t need to touch me” so it’s actually more heart-aching than what I have there. I mixed up the meaning of two Chinese characters in my head (I mistook 用 for 有’s meaning)…which makes quite a difference. I really could kick myself for that cuz it’s such a dumb mistake. Sorry your hearts didn’t hurt more, Wei Ying definitely deserved more of your heartaches.

Poor Jiang Cheng is an angry sad potato. Also some WangXian tenderness.
It hurt my heart seeing Wen Qing again, and also seeing how Wei Ying had been right there, ready to catch Jiang Cheng when he fainted. These two were always there for each other for such a long time, and they gave up so much for each other too. Now that Wei Ying had Lan Zhan to catch him whenever he falls, who will be there to catch Jiang Cheng?? Grape Uncle is so lonely I want to cry
I’m sorry, that made me laugh. JC looked like he was throwing a temper tantrum.
And off he goes! Honestly this adaptation didn’t make me as emotional as the others. It just never hit that peak. It really just felt like JIang Cheng was just throwing a fit after the shocking reveal, whereas in the donghua, CQL and the audio drama you really felt how devastated he was. Maybe they’re saving devastation for when he and Wei Ying reunites at the Guanyin Temple.
Kinda wish he did a bridal carry. I don’t think it specified what kind of carry in the book so they could’ve gone bridal carry easily.
