i know i am really not okay mentally when the new bnha chapter did not excite me as much as it usually does…. shit is kinda bad rn lmao

It did take me a long time but… I finally finished the Demon Slayer manga today and… my god. That ending was perfect to me.

It had everything a good ending needs and it had me in tears yet again (the KNY manga has made me cry many many many times).

What a gorgeous way to end this series. It’s just incredible. I’m in awe.

(Also: I truly love so many of the characters but my favourite is and will always be Rengoku Kyōjurō, he really is my beloved, always <3)

“shinichiro is dead” to you. to me he is lying in the bed of our shared appartment wearing our engagement ring

i just know kazutora sometimes meows at the cats in the pet shop and somehow chifuyu manages to walk in on him doing it everytime, as if he has a sixth sense for when kazutora’s being an idiot.

chifuyu would be sitting at the counter in the main area of the store and suddenly he hears a meow coming from the back of the store where kazutora is currently bathing the new stray cats that they took in. since it sounded kinda weird he’d walk into the room, it could be that one of the new cats is sick yk? but he only finds kazutora holding one of the cats, having a staring contest with it, meowing back and forth. as soon as chifuyu asks him what the hell he is doing kazu almost drops the cat and looks at chifuyu as if he just caught him robbing a bank. they stare at each other for like a minute not saying anything before chifuyu sighs and just walk out again. they don’t talk about this because this was neither the first and most likely not the last time it happened

it was quiet once you stopped the movie and returned to the home page of the streaming platform. turning around you faced your boyfriend mikeywhoseside you had been curled into the past hour. “soo,” you wandered off not really knowing what to say after just having finished watching a scary horror movie- although the clarification shouldn’t be necessary because all horror movies are supposed to be scary.

“soo-” he also started. “are you scared?” he looked at you pursing his lips.

you stared back at him for a second as if you had to think about your answer. “yes. are you?” asking him the same question.

he looked away from your eyes for a second running a hand through his- compared to the hair style he wore as a teen- short black hair. “maybe a little,” was all he offered, however when suddenly a random movie trailer started playing on the tv and both of you visibly flinched he quickly turned to you, “okay yeah i am too.”

you were not moving away from his side because admittedly feeling his presence right next to you gave you at least some comfort. you looked at the closed door of your bedroom, “i don’t think i can go to the bathroom right now,” you told him thinking about the darkness of the hallway that led there.

“yeah let’s just,” he looked around the room for a second, “let’s just stay here for a while?” he offered obviously fond of the idea himself.

you nodded. “do you wanna listen to some cringe, happy songs to lighten the mood?” you asked already looking through your music gallery. you did not need to see him nod in confirmation in order to proceed putting on bubbly pop songs which really did loosen up some of the tension in the room so you laid back down into his arms again.

after a few minutes and a few more pop songs you turned around to him again, “mikey i really need to go to the bathroom now.”

he looked back at you nodding in understandment, “okay, i’ll wait here. just scream if you need me.” after a short but intense staring contest he gave up and sat up with you, “or i’ll just go with you.”

you muttered a quiet ‘thank you’ because you really were grateful for his moral support considering you two were the only people in the apartment at the time. once you opened the door of your bedroom you took one of his hands and stepped outside into the dark hallway because the light switch was not directly next to your room. both of you quietly walked to the bathroom and once you got there mikey tried to not make it obvious how quickly he closed the door. you looked at your boyfriend before telling him to 'turn around’.

he looked at you straight-faced as if saying 'are you serious right now’ but you did not move until he sighed and faced the door. “you do know i’ve literally seen you naked before? more than once,” he said unimpressed. it was not like he was going to watch you take care of your business anyway, the extra measure just seemed a bit ridiculous to him considering the stage of your relationship.

you disregarded his comments explaining how this is 'different’. after finishing your business you both returned to your bedroom as soon as possible.

at last you both lay back down on the bed together, making yourselves comfortable in each other’s arms. you turned to mikey one last time pressing a loving kiss to his lips. “i feel safe knowing you’re here,” you said smiling looking into his dark eyes that still held so much love in them.

he returned both the kiss and your smile answering a quiet “me too” before closing the distance between your lips once again and then finally settling down to drift off to a peaceful sleep with you.

no u don’t understand. imagine you and mikey taking care of emma & draken’s baby so they can finally have a day off parenting. mikey loves children and he’ll gladly spend the whole day playing and napping with his little niece/nephew, but he cannot take care of children for shit. the baby starts crying? he’ll start panicking after a while because what does it want?? is it hungry? is it sleepy? or worse- does it have a full diaper?

he can deal with feeding it baby food (even if it ends up creating a huge mess in the kitchen and on the baby) but no one prepared him for changing a baby’s diaper. sure, emma showed him how it works more than once but suddenly he forgot all about it and just looks at you with panic in his eyes. you consider letting him suffer for a while but u feel bad for the baby so u take over and take care of that poor child to finally make it stop crying.

mikey just looks at you with heart eyes while you calm the baby down, glad that u came with him.

imagine being shinichiro’s best friend and he just got rejected by a girl so he texts you asking to hang out and since you knew he was gonna confess today you can already guess how that went. so you go outside in the late evening and let him complain to you about how he can never score a girlfriend. being the supportive friend you are you buy him drinks so he can at least let loose for tonight and get drunk while you look after him so he doesn’t do anything stupid. after a few hours you take him on a walk and sit down on a park bench where he, in his drunk state, eventually falls and lets his head rest in your lap. while shinichiro slurs about how rudely the girl “broke his heart” you just look down at his flushed cheeks, sparkling eyes and the cute pout on his lips and think to yourself how could someone reject someone as sweet as shinichiro?

shinichirois the type of boyfriend who would go to a party with you but not drink any alcohol so you can just let go, have fun and get drunk while he looks out for you and eventually drives you two home. he prefers knowing you’re safe over indulging in himself, besides he’s a social guy, he doesn’t need alcohol to have fun with his friends and embarass himself.

i feel like the friends to lovers trope fits so well with shinichiro because he seems like the type of guy who’d be oblivious of his own feelings in a way that he’s always seen you as a close friend, an important person in his life that he wants to be in his future. he’s such a genuine guy, cherishing his friends and family a lot that he simply never notices when his feelings for you change from something platonic into something romantic.

he wants to be around you more than around his other friends? well you just understand him very well in a way that no one else does. he can picture different futures for himself in his life but as abstract and unrealistic as some of them might be, somehow you’re a part of all of them? well he’s just so used to you being in his life by now and you fit so well into his routine that there’d be no need to change that.

none of this seems extraordinary to him because there was never one specific moment in which he suddenly fell in love with you. it just happened out of his control, everyday a bit more, that he didn’t even notice anything changing.

it’s not clicking for him because the only people he ever looked at in some romantic way were people he immediately pursued with romantic intent from the start. finding interest in someone and confessing to them was easy to him, maybe a little too easy considering his rejection streak, but he never thought about the possibility of love finding him instead of the other way around.

so when finally one of his friends questions him about his behavior, asking why he bothered with all those hopeless confessions when he clearly wasn’t even interested a lot in the first place, he mentally pauses for a second. if he wasn’t interested he wouldn’t try to pursue all these people, right? but then why was it, that he stopped feeling discouraged after a rejection? why did him getting turned down again not bother him longer than a day? why did he feel a short sense of relief after his latest rejection?

and when he finally thought about how after every single time he got turned down he would find you and you’d “comfort” him, telling him it’s not him that’s at fault, that there’s so much to love about him and then going on to list all the things that make him special and likable. he remembers how quickly you always manage to brighten up his mood with those words even if they got a little repetitive at this point considering the amount of confessions he made.

the moment it finally dawns upon him that he’s actually a huge idiot for searching for something that has been right in front of him for such a long time already he almost screams out loud. at least now he finally has a clear objective and this time he won’t give it half-assed effort but his full attention because this is the one time he’s actually dead serious.
