Hey all! Starting up a demo Starfinder campaign soon and needed some alien lettering and symbols for the game. Whipped these up in a few mins and thought I’d share with you!

TRANS RESISTANCE SYMBOL (Reposting this so it’s under my new blog name) I’ve long been kind of annoyed with the traditional circle-with-lines-coming-off-it design. Its round but not round, a little too on the nose and imho kinda blasé. I decided to deconstruct it and make it a bit more visually appealing. I also felt in these fucked up times a better symbol was needed for trans resistance and insurrection. Easy to recreate, memorable, visually impacting. The break down is of course the masculine and feminine symbol for trans men and women, the combined symbol for genderqueer identities and the circle crossed by the lines for nonbinary genders. The direction of the lines implies movement, striking out in multiple directions. Included above are a black on white and white on black version with a circle border as well as the glyph itself. The images are 17″x17″ @ 500dpi so if you want you can make stuff and it should be crisp. And because I’m leftist trash have some flags! ALSO: PLEASE SPREAD THIS!!! I want this symbol and it’s ideal to be spread far and wide. I want people to know what it means and that trans people will no longer be forced to reside on the margins of society. We are here, and we are going to fight for our lives with all we have. So long as you’re art/group/statement keeps with these ideals and those of liberation for all trans people (keep it intersectional, folx) then use it! Let me know if you do (tag me/link to this post) cause I wanna see! Also no commercial use w/o asking me first plz.

The geoglyphs of the Atacama Desert were built using three essential methods, ‘extractive’, ‘additive’ and ‘mixed’.
The figure was an early astronomical calendar for knowing where the moon would set; by knowing this the day, crop cycle, and season could be determined. The points on the top and side of the head would say what season it would be depending on their alignment with the moon, which was important in determining when the rainy season would come in the barren Atacama.
Everyone who’s used a word processor knows there are about a million different fonts to choose from. Some fonts–or typefaces–are related to the modern Roman alphabet we use today, but are barely recognizable as being in the same family. The Sütterlinschrift (top), developed in Prussia during the early 1910s and used until it was banished by the Nazi party in the 40s, is a sibling to the alphabet you’re reading now, however difficult it appears to read.
Also related to the Roman alphabet is the family of Cyrillic scripts (bottom), though it’s a child of Greek rather than Latin; if Sütterlin is Roman type’s sister, then Cyrillic is its second cousin. Some of the Cyrillic alphabets’ letters, like А and Е, are identical to their Roman equivalents, but some like Д (D) and Л (L) are more like their Greek parents.

A new glyph for conjuring fire, which is larger circle at the bottom of the spell circle with a dot in the centre. On top is a smaller circle with a curved triangle on top#. Another curved triangle is also included on top of the bigger circle which goes over the smaller circle.When cast it conjures a ball of fire. If the glyph is on the surface of an object, it will set that object on fire.

I wanted to have a more simple looking one for the books I was going to do so I overworked the original font of the Dragon Script. The Version I was doing is without dents and looks a bit more uniform. Still needs some overwork.
