#mimosa pudica
My Mimosa Pudica has healed from shipping & now I’m ready to show her off !! Look at her baby leaves at the bottom
My mimosa pudica before blooming, after blooming and after a pruning
the circled seedling is a mimosa pudica. Which is a plant i tried to grow from seed sometime earlier. Indoors. (At least one did germinate and grow… until i forgot to water it for too long oops). Aaaaaand i have no clue how the seed got there, into the strawberry pot outside. Teleported??
The photo above is from july 2021, i left the seedling where it was, wanted to wait until it grows a bit bigger before moving it to its own pot.
And then i completely forgot.
And then, in october 2021, i decided to post my old pbotos on ye olde hellsite, and stumbled upon this one. Which like. 3 months later and after first frost
but
she survived
replanted into her own pot, with a big chunk of “original” soil, so hopefully it won’t be too much of a shock for her
Mimosa pudica, sensitive plant, is an amazing example of rapid plant movement.
The plant is sold as a novelty for children [YouTube].
