Saw a guy at work today with a big Mjolnir pendant. Kinda wanted to say hi to him, but we were busy and I missed my opportunity. Still nice to see, though.
Travelled up to Ilkley Moor yesterday for a short hike around the Cow and Calf Rocks. An absolutely beautiful landscape, which is dotted with rock carvings dating back to the Bronze Age. I will be uploading various photos over the next few days, but for now you can have a wanderer embracing the wind on the moorland.
Loki can canonically ‘lift’ (or do something akin to lifting to) up to 50 tons and press about 30. The greatest feats of strength seen by Thor can be analysed to have been ‘lifting’ not even 2 tons.
So consider this hc:
After getting bored of trying to figure out how to pick up Mjolnir Tony decides to challenge Thor to an arm wrestling match that only ends up lasting a second at most. Almost two seconds when his arm is in iron man mode.
Unfortunately he’s started a trend.
Steve tries Thor next and at the very beginning it looks like this short game might be over but then Thor crushes him and the table breaks a little bit.
Natasha tries just for fun but strength isn’t really her thing. Thor doesn’t try too hard on her cuz that would hurt but she loses immediately.
Peter tries just for fun cuz he can pick up Mjolnir maybe he’ll be able to beat Thor? No not at all that’s not how that works he gets squashed like a spider.
Loki sits and watches passively but Thor invites him to come try.
“You know brute strength is not my area of expertise, brother.”
“Still, you are not one to back away from a challenge.”
Thor is right Loki’s gonna take that challenge and he knows he’s gonna win and hurt Thor’s ego but that’s Thor’s problem now.
Loki slides into the chair opposite Thor casually and holds his arm up somehow looking like he’s holding a champagne glass instead of about to fight Thor.
“You might surprise yourself and make a worthy opponent, as neither of us are of Midgard like my previous competitors.”
Loki doesn’t say anything but Thor takes his hand and they’re evenly matched for a few seconds (which is Loki basically taunting Thor) until Loki slams Thor’s hand down. The table falls apart.
Loki didn’t put all of his effort in but a lot to be fair.
His face would’ve been a little pink had he not put up a guise to hide that.
“You forget, brother, that despite what we call each other I am not of Midgard or Asgard, and those of Jotunheim are stronger than both combined.”
He straightens his sleeves and collar and sits back where he was before.
