Citizen Justice - Sketches for a performance Proposal.

1) Citizen Justice intervention on the streets of your neighborhood. Marking their heroic presence with an extra long cape!
2) Costume design for a new Citizen Justice costume that is more inline with my current gender expression. I like the scales of justice as pockets for my short shorts. The black and white drawing is a picture of alter ego Morgan Sea wearing the extra long cape as a cute dress.

This performance is about misogyny and cultural expectations, relating to super heroes and trans women. I’ll probably explain more later.

A poster for the Montreal - Fun-A-Day - Show'N'Tell!

Not that anyone is keeping track, but my Fun-A-Day project for 2013 failed to meet its goals (drawing double portraits of a queer person for every day in January) and in an attempt to compensate for that I drew a very elaborate poster for the Fun-a-Day event.

There are 31 people if you include the 3 cats and the little doodle monster Raph drew in the last frame. I know over half the people in the drawings and that they were going to do projects for fun-a-day, but the rest are people I saw in Frankie’s Karaoke project or People who said they were going to do projects on the Fun-A-Day facebook wall. But then i ran out of people to make it to 31. So the last frame are self portraits based on my 2012 project, Amazon Seeks Affection.

Also Some neat people in the drawings above are also on Tumblr, check out their Blogs!

On the heals of a lovely and successful community organized Trans Pride festival in Montreal, we bring coverage of a number of great moments! From the Trans March we hear a speech by Kama La Mackerel and an interview with Gabrielle Bouchard. From the Round Table event we hear Kai Cheng Thom speak on Trans Medicalism and Betty Iglesias on Immigration. In the studio we are joined by musicians Lucas Charlie RoseandJordan Hope Miller who were both involved in the Spectacle Trans at Cafe Cleopatre. This episode was hosted and produced by Rae Dooley and Morgan Sea.

♥ ♥ ♥ Thanks to all of our guests and speakers for allowing us to air their work. Thanks to Rae Dooley and Raoule Nadeau for recording the Panel and the speeches (more videos of the speeches at the marche on Raoule’s Youtube). There was a lot more going on at the trans pride festival that we weren’t able to fit in. Thanks so much to the ad-hoc committee of trans folk who put the festival together!  ♥ ♥ ♥

Guests include: Kai Cheng Thom, Local Honey, Raphaele Frigon, Lenore Claire Herrem, Rae Dooley and host, Morgan Sea. Music in this episode was provided by White Girl Wasted(aka Local Honey).

Kai Cheng Thom, aka Lady Sin Trayda, is a Montreal based writer, spoken word artist and super educated lady. She recently published a chapbook of her poetry titled Giving Birth to Myself with a launch in September (more info tba)

  • Upcoming Panel at Fierte Trans
  • Local Honey is aNew Orleans based performer, musician, drag queen, poet and much more.

Raphaele Frigon is a francophone conceptual performance artist, bike enthusiast and probably a cyborg. She’ll be putting a second diamond under her skin at  HardFast Crawl in St. Johns

Lenore Claire Herrem, is a performance artist, fashionista/seamstress and a very lovely and funny woman from Saskatoon.

Rae Dooley is a Jersey boy studying physiotherapy in Montreal. He used to work on Audio Smut and has been contributing to Tranzister for almost a year.  He doesn’t have much of an online presence… so no links.

Morgan Sea is a performance and visual artist from Saskatoon. She’s been producing this radio show for over 3 years and is currently writing in the third person. She doesn’t really like the graphic she made for this months show and feels bad about posting the blog archive so late.
