LIVE

everydaylouie:

hey! some folks on tumblr were asking about how i make my music, so i went all overboard and made this lil animation about it! new and old tunes! feel free to ask questions and stuff.

The magic that Louie makes with such a modest setup is so inspiring.

Yesterday I returned the keys to the studio space I’ve rented for the past 47 months, room 120 at Orion Studios in Baltimore. Not only was it a place where I made tremendous growth as a musician, it proved to be extremely important for my mental health and stability. Having a space of my own where I’m completely free to be creative, and to better myself without judgment of any kind, turned out to be more important to me than I ever thought it would be.

The photos above are a few that I’ve taken over the years from various recording and video projects I’ve done. I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished in the last 4 years in this space, and although this chapter of my life has ended, I find myself inspired and excited about my creative future.

Dropped a self produced dancehall track

This is my first instrumental I’ve ever released

Drop a comment I’d really appreciate it <3

Heeyy guys, it’s finals season and I’m working on this song that would be my take on Hawkmoth’s theme (the video was thrown together on a phone and is in no way meant to look polished nor is it the finalized visuals). Still undecided on whether it will be my final or if I’ll start my final over, but I haven’t posted anything in a while so I figured I’d share.

No, I’m not dead, I’ve just had tech complications you wouldn’t believe. So many issues came up with my NEW computer you’d think I was making it up to get a free computer (I deserve one though), like seriously Microsoft really has to work on some of their new products, including the OS. Essentially, I had to do deep digging and do manual “fixes”, which ended up being that I needed to download replacement drivers. No amount of service calls got me that far, I really had to do it myself. *siggh* but anyway I’m excited to get back to art and writing again.

This year (semester) will be mine.

I will take care of myself by concentrating on what I love:

  • Spending time with my girlfriend
  • Working out
  • Creating art (music, sketching and writing)
  • Going to therapy

If it means I will only write 5 exams, so be it. I want to learn to say no, to set boundaries; and be more honest. I want to say what I think and not overthink it to the point of not saying it. My voice may drown in this loud world, but I still want to utter them for the occasion that someone might need to hear them

You heard it here first, updates will follow.

Oh and of course I want to absorb more art. I want to go to concerts, I want to read and to watch movies.

The first appointment for my training is booked, more will follow

This morning I went out to the river delta and danced like no one was watching me and you were there.

First appointment for therapy is set. I am basically living with my girlfriend and having great and not so great times with her. I feel more connected and more honest than ever before.

Also, I kept my promise to make art by buying two calligraphy pens and using them to fill a notebook. And my second concept album will come out on Valentine’s day (14th February) on soundcloud: rainbow playlists!

It was bigger than expected, so I couldn’t finish it in time for valentine, but I finished it anyway and wrote two more songs, so there you go:

It is a long way to go, but I feel like I am doing better. I am more open and found the time to write two more songs, one of them being my latest:

Is it childish and stupid to want to go to college for music/music production? Fuck.
