So those are all the photos I took from Tokyo haha. My fiends took more so I’ll probably snag some of theirs and post as time goes on.
Some other things we did in Tokyo:
-went to a cat cafe in Shinjuku
-ate awesome burritos in Harajuku
-went to Akihabara
-missed the last train and had to take a $150 taxi ride to the airport
-spent the night in narita international airport because our guest house only allowed us to stay for two nights
-almost missed our 6am flight because the security line was ridiculous

Bye Japan. You’ve been great to me and I love you. I hope to see you again too! Narita Airport

So I’m finally in Japan. What you may not notice is that I’m a day late. At first everything went as planed. I boarded the plane. We took off. Everything was on time and things seemed to be going well. UNTIL the intercom came on and asked if there were any doctors or nurses on board. I thought I was in a movie.
Anyways what had happened was the man a few rows behind me had had a seizure so we ended up turning around and landing in Minnesota.
I’m not going to go into all the waiting that happened so short form is we had to stay there the night and I roomed with a girl I had met on the plane while we were waiting.
We then left the next day at 9am. This flight went perfectly fine and now I’m in Japan.
I was good with timing when it came to telling my friend what time to come because I was able to get through immigration, get my bags and ship my boxes to my dorm just slightly before he got to the airport.
About the box shipping. It was magical. It was ¥3100 for both 50lb boxes. And when he told me the price he announced like I would be taken aback but I was overjoyed. Also I only had to fill out one shipping label for them.
So I then met up with my friend and he thankfully carried my 30lb backpack and did all the mental processing for getting us on the right trains. We didn’t take one of the special expresses from the airport so it took us two and a half hours to get to my hotel. But that was nice cause it gave us a chance to talk. He’s also a Waseda student so I asked him so many questions about classes and such.
Finally I got to my hotel and checked in and my room is very nice and the view is even nicer.
All in all I’m just glad I finally got here.
