“Spider-Man is a kids’ movie!”

Yeah, in fact we have a 16 years old who’s:

- Still dealing with all the shit that happened in his life before the snap, including the death of his parents and his uncle, and the fact that he ended up in space to follow Tony and then died in his arms, just to come back five years later in the middle of a battle and see his mentor/father figure die in front of him after only a brief hug.

- Trying to adjuste to a new life, because half the platet was dead but the other half moved on and I think that, even though they did not explore really the angst potential of this, the aftermath of the Infinity Saga caused everyone a rough time because the ones who survived changed and the ones that came back didn’t, only to find that things and people they left were not the same anymore. That’s enough to deeply traumatise everyone, even without all the other stuff Peter has to face.

- Grieving Tony being at the same time surrounded by images of him everywhere reminding him what happened and worsening his survivor’s guilt, because how can you elaborate the death of someone you deeply loved when you see them around you all the time?

- Being under an enormous pressure by everyone that wants him to save the world as if the destiny of the Earth rests on his shoulders alone, telling him he needs to grow up and become the new Iron Man, because that’s what the world needs and what they all expects of Peter when all he wanted was just to keep being the friendly neighbourhood spider.

- Not being listened to when he try to say he needs a break from all superheroes’ things because he’s tired and he doesn’t think he can handle everything, so he just needs to live a little like the teenagers he is, enjoying a vacation with his friends and the girl he likes and maybe gain back a little sleep and mental stability. But no, the adults decided to keep pressuring him asking a teen to be responsible for the world not caring if they’ll eventually break him.

- Deceived by a man who took advantage of Peter and his pain when he was most vulnerable, making him believe he had found a new mentor to guide him filling the void left by Tony’s death at the point that Peter just gave him EDITH because he was so desperate he saw Tony in him -he fully trusted Mysterio, opened up with him telling him all his fears, relied on him, and then he was betrayed.

- Being physically, psychologically and emotionally abused by said mentor who made him see all his worse fears come true, showing him people he loved dying because of him and telling him how Tony’s death was his fault -as if Peter was not already thinking that.

- Left so traumatised and unable to believe his own mind and senses to separate reality from illusions at a point where he didn’t even know what was real and who to trust anymore. Really, being hit by a train was what caused less damages compared to Peter’s mental health. It will take years for him to come over everything and being able to sleep without nightmares.

But yes, that’s only a kids’ movie.

fury, standing with his back turned: i’ve been expecting you, stark

tony: how did you do that without turning around?

fury: …to be perfectly honest the first couple of people i did that to were not you

I think Matthew Wilson is my favorite colorist on the books I read, and this page from Secret Avenge

I think Matthew Wilson is my favorite colorist on the books I read, and this page from Secret Avengers is a good illustration why.

Check out the range and vibrancy of his palette, from the various shades of cool blue in the dark room, to the lighter blue of the medical-tube goop, to the bright green of the night-vision goggles, to the bright pink of Snapper’s encased brain. Dig his detailed shading on the night-vision goggles’ light trails, on the light and shadow on Maria Hill’s face, in MODOK’s gaping mouth.

It occurs to me that a theme of Secret Avengers is juxtaposition. You can see it in Michael Walsh’s art, which somehow manages to be cartoony and grubby and realistic all at once; in the dark colors of a night mission or secret lab set against the bright tones of science; in Ales Kot’s writing which mixes dangerous spy capers against lots of jokes. Really, in the idea of the Secret Avengers itself, where members of the most famous, flashy group in the Marvel Universe do secret missions as a team that doesn’t exist. Basically, its a great book.

Tik Tok has been showing me thousands of this edits with the ‘Grow a Pear’ by Ke$ha song with their own headcanons about the Marvel characters sexuality and I just have to do it.

First of all, as a bi girl, I have to start with my bi pals: Tony, Peter Parker, Valkyrie, Loki and Peter Quill. 4/5 have been confirmed in a certain way and it makes me so fucking happy. I am also going to put Clint here, I am sorry but I love his comic counterpart so much to not put him here and I have the biggest hope for the Hawkeye show to make him a lil’ better. Also know by me as the people with the coolest music taste in the MCU I just know it because it’s a bi superpower. Also Sylvie! And FUCKING STEPHEN STRANGE

This may be (or not) a controversial opinion: Steve, Bucky, Sam, Bruce are all gay. I say the controversy thing beacuse especially the first three are seen as bi/pan but I just… can’t? For me Steve and Bucky’s romantic feelings for women in the MCU are due to comphet (don’t get me started on Bruce and Nat) and Sam has never had a love interest but his relationship with Riley kind of fits. Also, Mobius AND PIETRO? and MY MAN RHODEY and his life time crush in Tony? I am fucking sure.

really personal thought but Steve, Sam and Bucky are all in a closed poly relationship. stop the sambucky/stevebucky wars.

Next are what I like to call Fury’s lesbians: Carol, the OG and the oldest daughter, Maria Hill, the middle child and Natasha, the littlest daughter. (Fury treated Nat like a daughter way more than this Alexei motherfucker, fight me on this, cowards!) Then you have Maria Rambeau, Carol’s girlfriend that Fury secretly also loves so much.

Bruce and Nat could have been the cutest queerplatonic relationship ever but Marvel are cowards.

We can not forget the pan pals: Thor, because somehow living thousands of years gives me a pan vibe, Wanda because is the anything more pansexual than loving an android, and my man T'Challa who everyone always forgets in these: I dont know how to explain it but this man has the BIGGEST pan energy ever. Also see: my girl Pepper Potts.

Also my asexual people! We have Yelena, Gamora, Nick and Heimdall who are ace/aro and they have always had beautiful relationships, just not romantic ones. And then Nat and Bruce who are both homoromantic aces and NO ot has nothing to see with either the Red Room or the Hulk they ARE ace. What I do think, though, is that both facts have intruded in their relationship with sex: they are probably sex-repulsed and they just understand eachother so well.

Then demisexuals a demiromantics beacuse they do not get talked about enough. Hello? Mr. Steve Rogers and his whole 'I want somone with a shared life experience?’ T'Challa because I just know once he connects with people he just falls in love, he cant help it. My man Stephen Strange and Pepper Potts, I just know it. My heart also says Peter Parker.

Another unpopular opinion but Tony, Pepper, Rhodey and Stephen would make an amazing polycule but insert audio of “nobody thinks what I think”
