A little on the nose for it to end with her running but i wanted her to run past her past selves! I’ve had the idea of Setsuna’s world being dark/monochrome before she found out about school idols since her introduction.
I read “In today’s world, being honest about really liking something is kind of difficult, right? One might feel ashamed, or feel afraid of being looked down on, or feel that they’re in a difficult situation.” (TL from ramen)
And I thought “this kid got a sad past”
And this idea only grew as more info was revealed about Setsuna. And then CHASE was released and after the release of SIFAS and Nana being revealed, the lyrics read more and more like she was talking to a past version of herself. Hey you can read the lyrics in the subbed version of blooming rainbow on a cat themed website
Alright enough ranting thanks for “reading” this glorified character study. Let me know what you thought of it!

Anime: coming this autumn!
The first episode will air Oct 3 22:30!
It’ll be broadcast not only on Japanese TV but also on YouTube and LINE LIVE.
It will also have overseas simulcast; the details will be announced later.
They revealed this trailer, which shows Yu Takasaki (the club president and Ayumu’s childhood friend) speaking for the first time!
Yu is voiced by Hinaki Yano(yano_hinaki35 on Twitter), and they showed us a short introductory message from her:
The OP and ED single release dates were announced (previously called “New Single 1″ and “New Single 2″):

- ED single: out Nov 4
They’ll each have one B-side as well.

To celebrate NijiGaku’s 2nd Live, there is a Step-Up Gacha available from Sep 13 21:00 to Sep 18 15:00. The steps:

“Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club First Live ‘With You’ Blu-ray Memorial BOX”
goes on sale today~
There are both solo and group songs—two different kinds to enjoy. Though we were worried and nervous at times, I think it turned out to be a really wonderful concert, one that lived up to its name.
From the bottom of my heart, I’m glad I became a member of Nijigasaki.
A landscape shining with nine colors,
and a landscape shining with one—both of them were just so pretty.
To be honest,
up until the final rehearsal on the day of the concert, I was really scared of dancing “Love U my frends”, which we were performing for the first time.
I’m on the furthest edge of the dance formation, so my part of the stage was the highest part and quite narrow. I was scared of dancing there, and once we had practiced at the venue, I got super panicking, wondering “it’s dark, I can’t see…” and “what do I do if I fall?”.
(My scaredy cat self was like “c’mon, get it together”…)
But when I danced at the actual thing, that part of the stage was really close to the people on the second floor.
Even though I was scared at first, I could see the audience smiling right there, and if I turned my head, I got a real nice view of the entire place because of how high it was.
So once I thought “now this is a premium spot!”, my fear completely vanished (lol)
Oh, and it wasn’t dark at all!
Because of everyone’s penlights, it was really bright and pretty!!
I can’t thank you enough.
That 1st Live became a treasure to me.
At first, I had worries like “what if no one calls my name…” or “what if Rina-chan’s color doesn’t glow in the venue…”. But thanks to all of you, I really didn’t have to be that worried.
Even with my in-ear monitors plugged in, I could hear everyone’s voices really well.
To those of you who cheered for me in person,
to those of you who cheered for me from afar:
thank you so much!
In the beginning, Nijigasaki had neither songs nor a game.
I think there were a lot of people that were like “There’s this thing called Nijigasaki, but what is it? Huh, solos? That’s Love Live?” (lol)
Yet we grew, slowly but surely, and (though I keep saying this) it’s because of everyone that has kept supporting us.
Now, to the other members, who’ve always been with me.
You should at least preserve your energy a bit when it’s not your turn. But when another member goes on stage, you all watch over their performance and dance to it from backstage.
Our bonds got even stronger at this concert.

I meant to perform at max power over those two days, but watching the recordings made me think that I really should practice more.
To those of you who’ve been cheering for Rina-chan all this time, I want to make you think: “Hey, Tanaka got better! Not bad! I should cheer more for Rina-chan!”
After all, 2nd Live is gonna happen…!
Anxiety, tension… an environment that’s different from the usual… there’s a lot to deal with, but no matter what, I want to make it fun for you all!
I want to make you love Nijigasaki even more!
With these thoughts pushing me forward, I’ll try my absolute best to prepare for 2nd Live!!
So look forward to it, everyone!
