When I was saying I want to be No. 1 of the world, and I was seven or eight years old, most of the people were laughing at me because it seems like I have one percent of chances to do that, and I’ve done it.

i feel like i should be more heartbroken for this, but i’m not. he’s done a lot. maybe he’ll continue, maybe he won’t, but he’s done a lot. he goes out to someone who was the better player for the match, which is well, what it’s supposed to happen in tennis. in sports.

love you still, dearest sunshine. i know you know you’re loved. you always are.

i’m at the office and smiling like an idiot I STILL CAN’T BELIEVE

sob my monster sunshine child :’)

i love you, and you are loved.

hvala, nole. volim te.

may the sun shines over you always.

oh, Nole. that is a disappointing point of view and you could do better. educate yourself more. especially when you have BJK as a constant voice of support.

on the other hand, knowing tennis fans and how much they hate your entire existence, i expect more of them to support women’s tennis now. so there’s that.

ETA:this does not change the way I feel about Nole by the way. still #1 fave. but having a fave means wanting them to constantly do better and be better, and this is one of those times. he tends to learn from mistakes, which is why I am actually glad that this is happening because he is sogoing to get called out and hopefully he’ll realize what’s wrong with his point of view and how he approaches this, which is better than never getting asked and never having the chance to fix it. or, getting asked but being constantly excused just because you’re above it all.

ETA2:that final performance was hilariously amazing though. results-wise and tennis-wise, i am a very proud fan. intersectionality-wise, i am a mess.

ETA3:you can like someone and point out the ways how they’re problematic, they’re not mutually exclusive to each other, pass it on.
