Watson does Wimbledon
In honor of All-England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) 150th anniversary, IBM Watson created the 2018 Official Championship Poster (above). To make it, Watson was taught to recognize all the various photographic elements such as grass, crowds, court, etc. Then, Watson sifted through 150 years of archived Wimbledon photography – over 300,000 photos – and stitched the images together in the appropriate areas, based on color and content. The final photo mosaic is comprised of over 8,000 images, and, thanks to its pointillist quality, looks simultaneously modern and timeless. Beyond art-making, Watson’s visual recognition skills can help businesses in a broader sense, too, helping to classify wide categories of visual content.

Wimbledon Final Fashion
I think we we’re all on the edge of our seats yesterday watching the tense tennis match which Andy Murray came out champion. Very well done!
But one thing I noticed was Murray’s girlfriend; Kim Sears wearing Victoria Beckham! She wore a long sleeved pastel green dress with cut out details from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection and teamed it with a Mulberry bag and Raybans.
Mrs Beckham herself was only seats away sporting a black spagehetti strap lace dress by Louis Vuitton.

This Weeks Best Dressed
As Wimbledon started, Mollie King has pulled off some gorgeous looks - this is my favourite look her’s this week, she went in the direction of the high street when she rocked up in this gorgeous Oasis, Irish floral short suit, complete with a white shirt and nude heels.
It’s not that often that we see Mrs Beckham out of black, but here she is - promoting her own clothing line - in China supporting hubby David wearing a yellow sleeveless jacket and over light blue skinny trousers and white shirt. She completed her look with aviator shades and Victoria mini tote bag.
Maggie Gyllenhaal walked the red carpet in a stunning feather-accented Dries Van Noten dress - keeping the attention on the dress she opted for minimal accessories, black heels byCasadeiandAlexander McQueen clutch bag.
At the Isle of MTV press conference, Rita Ora rocked a black Emanuel Ungaro coat dress with gold detailing. She completed her look with Christian Louboutins heels, statement red lips and fishtail plaits.
Second favourite Mollie King look on the top 5 best dressed for me this week, she hit the runway nailing the gold metallic trend in a grecian style halter dress by Odabash Macdonald. To complete the look she went with smokey eyes and curls.

The inaugural Wimbledon Championship tournament began on this day in British history, 9 July 1877. The 1877 Wimbledon was the world’s first official lawn tennis tournament and was held at the All England Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club in London. The final, which was delayed three days due to rain, took place on Thursday, 19 July in front of about 200 people. The spectators paid an entry fee of one shilling each, and the prize money for the winner was 12 guineas, plus a silver challenge cup valued at 25 guineas donated by the sports magazine The Field. The tournament made a profit of £10. Spencer Gore, a 27-year-old rackets player from Wandsworth, won the first Wimbledon title, after defeating William Marshall in the final in a match that lasted 48 minutes.
