Each time she touched her mouth with her thumb, his voice would always echo through her head, that offhand joke that should’ve meant nothing, and yet somehow was still resonating, weeks, months later. 

“With a mouth like that, it’s no wonder you want to touch it all the time." 

It had taken something she did so innocuously, so nonchalantly, and made it a conscious thing, no matter how unconsciously her hand had got there. The instant her thumb hit her lip, there it was that little thought worming its way into the forefront of her mind. 

It was worse when the thumb made it past her lips, because then she started to think about the times he’d made her suck on his. Suck on a few other things, too. As much as she had an oral fixation, it would seem his was that much stronger. Or perhaps he just liked to indulge her.

And, however strong her annoyance, somehow it never really seemed to matter. Somehow, she always managed to enjoy those little echoes of him, his voice in her head, his… memory in her mouth. It was enough to distract a girl.
