My first reaction to young Floof Floof (Doflamingo):

He looks like the gay dad who k!//ed his husband for eating his chicken nuggets.

Someone tell me im wrong a dare you.

For some reason this is one of my favorite chapter covers

I had a request to draw Doflamingo and it was reeeeally challenging ‘cause I’m so in love with that beautiful bastard.

There’re lots of arts though with typical Doflamingo grinning in his feather coat and I wanted it to be something else.

Doflamingo’s ruling as a king of Dressrosa and his self-confidence as a tenrubito breaks apart by strawhats. He sees himself as an external winner, as the greatest and the strongest, but in reality he is bitten down, sailing away from his kingdom to the prison for forever. He is no longer the first one and strongest.

I wanted to show the Doflamingo, whose self-confidence is so high, even all of that being true he still sees himself as a king, and the strongest, and the greatest. Because that’s what I love in him. He has the will strong enough to contend the reality and find the way to win.
