Name:Different. 파인 드래곤 쿠키 (Pain Deuraegun Kuki) is Pine Dragon Cookie. Well, ananas is a different word for pineapple, so it’s similar to the dragonfruit-to-pitaya situation.

Pet:Mostly the same. Pineapplemur is 파인 여우원숭이 (Pain Yeouwongsung-i), which is Pine Lemur. It just doesn’t have a pun :(

From the skies appeared a Dragon with noble, golden scales as radiant as the sun. Upon the island’s tallest peak did the Dragon decide to perch. All denizens of the island looked up in awe and presented various fruits as offerings. The island was home to blooming vibrant flowers and breathtaking waterfalls: a true paradise. Overflowing with pride in the prestige and power of Dragonkind, the Dragon reigned supreme over the island. At times a merciful and benevolent protector, but in others a fearsome and relentless oppressor. And suddenly, disaster struck. The towering offerings of fruit collapsed during a devastating earthquake. Rains and winds hammered the tower’s remnants, concealing the once glimmering light. From the chasm appeared a small figure made of dough, reclusing themselves from sight. The biding of time continues, for the day of spreading their wings in full glory has not yet arrived.

Ovenbreak Korean Bio:

A noble dragon with gold scales like the sun nested atop the island’s apex, with all beings looking up to it in reverence and began offering various fruits. With large and colorful flowers in full bloom, and pure waterfalls gushing, the island was truly a paradise on earth. Overflowing with pride that Dragonkind was supreme, this Dragon was somewhat merciful to the island’s beings, but when its temper was set off, it came down with merciless and severe punishments, ruling like a monarch! However, an unstoppable severe earthquake struck, and the carefully built fruit tower collapsed. Meanwhile, amidst a rainstorm, the tower’s brilliant light went out as it flooded and broke… From the cracks of the collapsed rocks appeared none other than a figure, changed into a dough form! They’re now in seclusion as to not let anyone find them, awaiting the time when they can unfurl their giant wings again..

Notes:

The Golden Dragon, Ananas, is here! They cost one more coin than Pitaya, and have one more HP than him. That extra bit of tail really helps.

Ananas is called a 제왕 (jewang), which is an emperor, king/queen, or royal-figurehead of some sort… Pretty neutral term. Mango calls them 분 (bun) without any pronouns, which is also a neutral way of addressing someone.

Speaking of Mango,  I do not know where the “young” part in Mango came from, I didn’t see it in the other languages. I guess everyone is young to an ancient Dragon?

Dino-sour’s relationship being different is… strange. Well it’s not really that different, just the tone. It doesn’t really sound “Tense” in English. In Korean it sounds like Ananas is a bit offended at the idea of another giant lizard being ridden, but maybe that’s just my interpretation lol.

Name: Same. 공주맛 쿠키 (Gongju-mat Kuki) is Princess Cookie.

Pet:It is Enchanted Locket in Line, and Princess’s Locket in Ovenbreak. It is 공주의 장신구 (Gongju-ui Jangsingu), Princess’ Accessory, in both Kakao and Ovenbreak.

She calls her father “abba” like Cheesecake does. It can be either daddy or dad, those are both “abba”. It’s just the informal term for father.

Her “If you don’t have coins, you could use crystals.” line is very similar to Yogurt Cream’s “If your legs hurt, you could ride a magic carpet.” [which was translated differently in English, tsk.] It’s part of a trope of royal characters, you can check it in his post. 

Her April Fools’ lines are, naturally, all Korean memes. “Wake up, warrior…!” comes from an ancient one. It was particularly popular with World of Warcraft memes… Well, it’s just taking an image of a sleeping person, usually in a funny position, and superimposing an image of an awake person with that phrase… Uh, memes are hard to explain. (Knight Cookie is Warrior Cookie in Korean).

The “ Warrior, when you come back, bring me Meloxx ” line comes from a popularly referenced incident where someone got a text from a courier saying her package was about to arrive, and another text message from her sibling saying they were about come home. She then texted the courier “Bring me Melona” … Again, such things are hard to explain. Melona was censored a bit as it’s a copyrighted brand.

I have no clue what mangled “Strawberry Princess” references.

Yes, she literally says YOLO (욜로).

Trivia:

The most known Fun Fact about her is that her twin sister is Tiger Lily Cookie [originally called Jungle Warrior Cookie]. I’ll do a post on her soon enough. But you can see the connection in Kakao/Line’s World 2 Cookie Ruin’s background:

It’s also referenced in the comics frequently, such as this chapter of Science Basics.

In 2014, she got a bit of a design change. Most likely to fit the looks of the Cookies coming out at the time.

She also showed up in Kakao’s photo event, tied up with Knight Cookie.

She was also in the “Let’s get closer!!” event. The point of this event was to do missions as two cookies (main and relay) that don’t seem to get along well to get a reward. Her missions were with Muscle Cookie and Pistachio Cookie.

An event she starred in was Princess Cookie’s coming of age! Similar to Cheesecake Cookie’s coming of age event, where you collect roses. [Coming of age day is held on the Monday of the third week of May, celebrating people who are 19-turning-20 and encouraging them to become responsible adults. Roses are a common gift.]

For Princess Cookie who has come of age, please collect roses!

Pet: Somewhat different. 망고부리새 (Manggo Burisae) is Mango Beakbird. Toucan is KeunburisaeorWangburisae,whileBuri Sae is literally just beak-bird. In the concept art, it is called 망고 투칸 (Manggo Tukan).

Ever since then, they’ve always stuck together. Sometimes it lets out a sonorous cry, meaning it agrees with what Mango Cookie has said.
