Witch’s guide to Clove

I don’t really use cloves much in my own practice but only because I didn’t know much about them. So I decided to research it and share what I learned with you guys

Clove are masculine and associated with planet Jupiter and the element fire

Magical properties:

- Friendship

- Increases good fortune

- Attracts wealth

- Protection

- Cleansing

Magical Uses:

- when burned it can ward the area of negative energy

- Add to mono bags for good luck

- Burn to prevent people from spreading rumors about you

- When burned with charcoal it attracts money

- Place 7 cloves each in 2 separate cloth bags and make each bag into a necklace. If two people wear these until they break it will make a friendship that will last a lifetime

Witch’s guide to Mint

I love mint I use it mostly in tea form and sometimes cook with it. Mint always makes me think of wood Faeries. Which could be due to the wood nymph Minthe in Greek mythology who was turned into mint.

Mint is a masculine element associated with the element air and the planets Mercury and Venus

Magical Properties:

- Money

- Healing

- Invreases Verbal strength

- Luck

- Travel

Magical Uses:

- Drink it in tea form to add strength to our words

- Put mint in your shoe and keep it in there to prevent bad luck

- Place fresh mint on your alter to attract good spirits

- Make into a bracelet to protect against illness

- Place mint leaves under your pillow to help aid in prophetic dreams

- Carry in purse or wallet to attract money

Witch’s Guide to Ginger

A tumblr user suggested I cover ginger next and it’s magical uses. I always want to do what you guys are interested in so let me know any other herb, plant, spices or any topics you want me to do

Ginger is masculine plant associated with the element fire, mars sun and the zodiac sign Aires.

Magical Properties:

- Speed things up in spells

- Prosperity

- Ignites passion and love

- Healing

- Luck

Magical Uses:

- keep ginger root in the house to attract prosperity

- Add to any love spell you cast to give it more power

- As a food can help increase sexual energy and fertility

- Sprinkle root in your pockets or purse to attract money

- Place under a pillow to stop nightmares

- Throw into the sea to calm a storm and invoke peace

Warnings:

Do not keep ginger on skin for long period of time, some people who ingest too much ginger can get stomach ache and diarrhea, and can increase menstrual blood.

Make sure you cleanse and bless your writing utensils (pens, pencils even your phone or laptop) just like you would a wand or any magical tool since they also carry energy.
