Yikes, it’s the last day of Mermay! Just getting one in under the wire. This is a classic, old-school mermaid, so I did flat lighting to give it the feel of a Golden Age illustration :)

Here’s a sketch I did a couple of months back. This time I used crayola pencil crayons pshhhhh.
Aside from the striped beanie, I totally cheated and had this fresh squid girl wear TWO articles of clothing (baby-jelly shirt & navy college sweat). Too bad you can’t stack abilities by wearing as much gear as possible :P
The mint green ink colour in Splatoon is my favourite.
