My pets have better healthcare than I do

The kitten gets regular checkups and we’re working on his vaccinations

The birds get regular checkups

This human however has not been to a doctor since she stopped needing the mandatory physical exam for high school sports like 7 years ago because I hate going to the doctor haha

I’m taking Jinkies to the vet today. She’s been chewing on her legs and bleeding a little. She’s licked the fur off in patches too. It’s been reminding me of Rugby, honestly, in his last few months.

I will definitely cry now.

But if that’s why I’m a little on edge, at least it makes sense. Those vet trips with Rugby would inevitably lead to tears of frustration and worry when nobody had any answers, and that part of it went on for years.

Hell, I still don’t have answers and I know I never will.

I hate going to the vet.
