LIVE

When people take flight, they often leave their brains on the ground. A combination of the altitude, thealcohol, nausea drugs and/or sleeping pills, and sheer restlessness turn the airplane cabin into a stunning gallery of the worst of human behavior. Flight attendants bear witness to the craziest things as they soar through the air, a lot of which involve pee, poop, and penises. A Reddit thread posed the question, “Flightattendants of Reddit, What’s the most bizarre thing you’ve seen on a flight?” Here are the funniest examples.

1. The nocturnal pisser

2. The nocturnal masturbator

3. The cup of pee

4. The bus stop

5. The mile high club

6. The meet-cute.

7. The confused pee-er

8. The pork chop.

9. The colostomy bag

10. The naked man

11. The blowjob

This the real picture EXPLAINS the turbulence :)

askhistorians:

During her aviation career, from the 1930s through the 1960s, Jacqueline Cochran (1906-1980) set more speed and altitude records than any contemporary pilot, male or female, and was the first woman to break the sound barrier. During World War II, she was instrumental in formation of the Women’s Air Force Service Pilots (WASPs). This photograph was taken ca. 1962 when she received the Harmon Trophy for establishing eight World Class records in jet planes.

In his youth, Haitian-born U.S. Army pilot Capt. Alix Idrache witnessed U.S. forces conducting humanitarian missions in Haiti.

Today, he is one of them.

“11 years ago, I remember feeling powerless and simply watching the news wishing there was something I could do. Today, through a series of unlikely events and a rather unexpected journey, I’m in a position to help. I’m heading back home. All the hard work has paid and it has gone full circle.”
