Overview
The 2nd oldest toy owned by playtime co.she was manufactured by another company who collaborated with playtime co.known as Merrymakers co.from japan.she was previously a Zashiki (tea carrying)karakuri doll back in the 1875 but she is recreated out of a harmless experiment to turn her into a articulated karakuri doll in the 90’s,in a way she is an entertainment doll similar to key dolls but the difference is that she can do tricks for her viewers,she was popular toy in the 90’s as she is a the third most popular toy for girls.
Appearance:
She is a paled looking doll with honey brown eyes & used to be an ordinary karakuri doll,she served & owned by one of the daimyo’s wifes & was used for entertainment however,years passed & she was given to another owner who turns out to be the son of a famous toy maker,she was a special antique mechanical doll in which her owner likes about it as he is fond of karakuri dolls.
Since her kind was unique,the mother of her owner recreated her into a first articulated karakuri doll where she can do various more tricks for her owner & everyone.she was the first articulated doll to be made & remaked into a new one.
Her previous appearance & structure was different as she look any other karakuri doll
However after her recreation,she now a breathtaking beauty & taller by inch.,snow white skin,plum pink lips,navish black hair with a red ribbon & unique knee length kimono with a corset,her dress was colored like a miko colors,She wore mid heeled sandals.
Her eyes however was an accidental but surprisingly well liked because her eyes was supposed to be both greens but it turns out to be mismatched by accident, when one of the workers made a mistake on putting a wrong eye on the left, however the owner of the co.actually liked it because heterochromia was a lore around japan, especially in anime.
So her eyes became the signature look for many anime lovers, especially of it was rozen maiden because her eyes reminded them of the two twin dolls who had the same eye colors as her.
Personality:
She is elegant,graceful,quite,nimble,kind,timid & shy,odd but fearless, cautious & keenly sharp around her surroundings as she is a side character in the game & au story,miyabi was an enigmatic doll that roamed around her own,it wasn’t classified if she was an experiment or not as she wasn’t mentioned in any tapes but mommy long legs seems to know her a bit as she sometimes said something like“ah~ if it isn’t little'spirit’! Where have you been this whole time?”Or“hmph! You always be the lucky one as you didn’t suffer the same as us! & Yet-”
There’s a slight indication that her origins of being able to be sentient like the rest was far too different than the rests of them.
Story:
After the factory closed down,she had escaped through the players bag around earlier years in order to help poppy but she had to wait for the right time.
Before the player left,she sneaked into their bag & had successfully escaped the place & was found later on by the player who was baffled & planning to return her but a note in her pocket is found by the player who he thought was written one of his old co-workers when in reality it was her as she needs a refuge until she can contact poppy once more in later years,waiting for poppy to contact her.
Chapter 1
In the first chapter she was only mentioned by the player when they came back to the factory when poppy’s letter arrived,she was hidden in the backpack of the player until she manage to meet up with some toys who can tell her where poppy was.
Chapter 2
She now plays a key role in the game as she managed to get some help from kissy missy to find poppy & retrieve her from mommy long legs-
In which explains who silenced her at the end for the time being as well but she is still alive.
Playtime tales:New Game
Miyabi story & origins came to light in the Poppy Playtime au where it reveals that she was a vessel used by a spirit who accidentally transmigrated into the doll’s body & was given a mission to help the player.
Abilities:
Seismic sense:due to not being able to see well in the dark,she relies on her heightened senses to move around,just like toph from avatar.
Telekinesis:her telekinetic ability was powerful for her size but not powerful as an esper one,if the player is is need of assistance.her powers came into a handy for some tasks.
Trivia:
Her name is actually from the traditional tea ceremonial arts,it also fits her elegant appearance as she looks sometimes dainty.
Her recreated design around thar time as it was supposed to be out around 1955 but it took a meticulous time
