i had a dream the other night that the queen had died and i didn’t know about it for a couple of days and when i found out my first thought was ‘now william is the prince of wales so george and charlotte and the new baby will use wales as their surname but george and charlotte are already in school with cambridge as their surname so are they going to have to change their surname in the middle of the school year???’

Kensngton Palace released two new official photos of The Duke of Cambridge with his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to mark The Duke’s 38th birthday and Father’s Day. The photos were taken earlier this month by The Duchess.

Today in 1683: Princess Anne, the future Queen Anne, marries George, Prince of Denmark.
The marriage took place in the Chapel Royal at St James’s Palace. Although it was an arranged marriage for political allegiances, the couple were happy and committed to each other throughout their marriage, despite suffering hardships over the loss of children.
