the “i don’t want to be anyone’s secret” line absolutely killed me because even though simon was outed and the easiest route would’ve been for him to tell wilhelm to come out, he didn’t. it’s so common in shows now for, once a tape or photo gets leaked, one of the characters doesn’t want to confirm it’s them but their partner says that they have to. simon was hurting but he recognized that wille had to come out on his own terms. he didn’t tell wille that he had to come out or they’d break up, but at the same time simon still put himself first. and i just think that’s really important.
…unless she’s the queen of sweden and hits her son because his anxiety makes him bite his nails and then sends him to boarding school, provides him with no support when his brother dies (leaving him to be the next king), is aware of a video being leaked by her nephew that outed her son to the entire world and was incredibly personal, and then goes on to be homophobic, and then forces him to deny it was him in the video, AND THEN shows no empathy over her son just wanting to love who he wants, and then ruins his relationship with his boyfriend.

When Prince Ludvig finished speaking, […] it was finally Simon’s turn. He stood by his seat between his husband and the Prince Consort, waiting for the applause to die down and for a microphone to be placed in front of him. He still looked a little nervous, but not overly so that an untrained eye might catch it.
I’ve just finished watching Young Royals and I swear if there is no season 2 I will hurt someone, most likely myself with tears but thats beside the point. I need season 2 like now please.
